This is Captain Rogers. I'm at an unknown location, a large plane of some kind.

[Much too large to be a plane, but the descriptor would work for now.]

If you are getting this, Director Fury, please respond. Agent Romanoff? Thor? ... Stark?
I could use a heads up on the situation, here. I don't remember a briefing for this.

[A forced attempt at an almost joke, except it's true enough that it has him unsettled. How did he get here?]

These channels should reach them. I'd give pretty good odds of Stark being on the ship you woke up on.

[A somewhat rumpled and sleepy-looking Asgardian answers the call, but only after he's caught up on two days worth of lost sleep from his little jaunt through time.]

Rogers? I fear Fury is not here, and he would probably be very angry if he was. Stark is, however. And I do not believe any of us were briefed. Are you well?

[Forgive him stating the obvious, there, and being a bit oblivious. Still not all the way awake.]

Thor. Good to see you're still in one piece. Yeah, I have a feeling Fury wouldn't be too happy about the situation, either.

Pepper filled me in some, and a few other helpful ship-locals. How are you holding, here?

Well enough. Though I just spent two days, or what feels like two days, jumping through time and space.

[Hence, the sleepy sounding. He pauses, then, though, and frowns at the screen in confusion.]

... wait. When did you arrive, Rogers?

Arrive? This morning. Woke up in a a little metal box.

It's been an adjustment.

[As if he isn't still trying to figure out what all went down and why. Or if this is some kind of dream influenced by that portal.]

[There's a pause while Thor scrubs the last of sleep from his face, then pushes back his slightly tangled hair and actually looks alert at last.]

Aye, it is at that. I still keep expecting Heimdall to find me and whisk me home, but as yet, we seem to be stranded. Has anyone told you where you are and what is the situation?

I was briefed, some, by Ms. Potts and a few other people on the ship. Every time I think I've heard everything, something new comes along to throw me for a loop.

I heard there was some trouble around, recently. Has that situation been handled?

[Thor's face falls a bit, at the reminder. Loki, as far as he knows, is still back on that ship, not yet resurrected from that battle and still quite possibly very angry with him.]

For some definitions of the word "handled", perhaps. The danger has passed, for now, but there appears to be more lurking about. It is simply not threatening us directly at the moment.

The danger is still present, then. Seems like whatever hit, hit pretty hard. Is there something I can do to help prepare for when they come back looking for more?

[Not if. Because that just didn't seem likely. Not if that attack had been a first sweep.]

[Thor considers a moment, then offers,]

Find yourself some armor. It stood me well, against their blades and spines-- and even if you are scratched by one, it causes terrible pain, sickness, and death. Beyond that, familiarize yourself with the city and places they might be tempted to attack. Large gathering areas seem a likely target.

[Thor isn't a seasoned warrior for nothing, after all.]

You really need to get yourself a better alarm clock if we're going to keep up this whole "team" experiment. Goldilocks and I had all the fun without you.

Good to hear your voice, Stark. [Sort of.] Mind giving me a heads up? What's going on around here.

Aside from Shelob snacking on the locals? Your basic interdimensional apocalypse.

I heard there was some extra trouble recently. Anything that still needs extra ground control, or are we good for the moment.

[Because, you know, he would really like to wrap his head around all the WHAT questions pounding in his skull. But priorities.]

It's all over but the cleanup, and the nice men in gas masks seem to have that locked down.

[That last lingers somewhere between sarcastic and troubled.

Of course, Tony being Tony, he could easily sound sarcastic even when being entirely sincere.]

[Tony being Tony makes it impossible to tell when he isn't being sarcastic.]

I'll help where I can. I'm still on the ship, right now.

[Drawn in by the mention of Thor's name, as well as recognizing the speaking manner of a soldier.]

I highly doubt this is any mission you were prepared for, Captain. None of us were.

But I believe at least some of your friends are here.

So I've come to find. I'm not sure even a mission briefing could have prepared me for the information I've been gathering today.

Are you with SHIELD?

[It's a fair question, as far as he is concerned. If Thor and Tony are here, Pepper, too. But apparently the ship took a good deal of other people from other times and locations as well, if Lyall was to be believed. And he seemed an honest man.]

No. I don't even fight with one, normally. [A passing bemused note helps make it clear she's never heard of the organization.] But I consider myself an ally of Thor Odinson. And I...know of Tony Stark. Though mainly by hearing him spoken of by others.

Sounds about right. Well. An ally of Thor's is... an ally where I'm concerned.

[There is a hint of uncertainty there. His adopted brother did try to take over the Earth, and that just doesn't quite sit right with a man like Steve Rogers.]

If either of them tend to stick around here, would you happen to know where I might find them?

[She heard that. But for now she'll let it slide.] And I feel the same.

I could give you directions to where Thor and his brother reside. I have been there guest now several times. Stark I'm afraid I can't help you with, though he often spends time working on the ship you probably woke up on.

[Relax, Steve. Thor possibly has more than one brother. Don't jump to conclusions.]

Wouldn't surprise me if Stark was on board. I'll take another look around. See if I can locate him.

[Slight wariness creeping in, now. She's been through this whole business with Thor's own allies not trusting or liking Loki before.]

If I may offer my advice, then that probably seems like a wise place to start.

[Complicated is an understatement, but he isn't yet aware of just how much of one that is.]

[There's a long pause and he clears his throat, hesitating a moment.]

No. That was another Loki. [Her voice is all kinds of hard and firm. The last jerk tried to tie Loki up and shoot him with an arrow. And then there was that mess with the collar. They're not going through this again.] This Loki is not from the same world as Thor is, nor the same time...this Loki is no more than a youth. He is relatively innocent, and cares very much for his brother. And outside of learning magic, he has no ambitions at all.

[Her tone does the verbal equivalent of taking a step back, acknowledging it wasn't very polite of her to start bossing a stranger around without even offering a full introduction.]
