My name is Charles Xavier. I am one of the awakened, from the ship. As far as I know, we are all from different times, and perhaps from different universes as well, and none of us knows how we came to be asleep on an unfamiliar spacecraft.

And one more thing. This may seem like an odd question, but... is there a large population center, nearby? I don't mean under the dome.

I'd thought we were captured by slavers from my world, who sought immortality by self-modifications from slaves. But if so, why would I still have my weapons?

Well, it's obvious he stands to gain through exploitation.

But by nature traders must be willing to work with the best and the worst, and to look the other way. He undoubtedly has a lot of connections, but it remains to be seen if he's a connection one would want to have.
