For those I haven't met, my name is James T. Kirk. I'd like to talk about our situation, and what our plans are. I say "our" because I believe it is imperative that those in a similar situation with similar goals band together to achieve them. I don't know why we're here, or where here is. I do know that we stand a better chance at both survival and getting home if we work together.

To that end, I suggest we form exploratory parties to learn as much as we can. About the ship, the surrounding area, and the domes.

Further, I'm willing to share whatever I have. Unfortunately, that's almost nothing and I have nothing to trade but labor. So I'm offering my services as well. You can find me at the provided housing, for the time being.

I am certain that, together, we can get through this.

I am. And while I am well aware that my authority doesn't formally apply here, I'm merely saying what someone needs to. These are suggestions. Not orders.

I've been doing the same. But I think that organization confers some benefits, be it for food or information gathering. There's strength in numbers, and there's also no sense in replicating effort.

There have been several volunteers for exploration. My plan is that we form groups to look into various options and locations, to avoid individuals replicating each others' efforts. By pooling resources and information, we have a better chance of learning what we need to. And a better chance of survival should conditions prove hostile. My suggestion would be teams: food procurement, exploration of the ship, the dome, and the surrounding territory.

I think it's too early to answer definitively, but there could be a number of possibilities. We could have something that's translating what we say to their language, or at least it's registering to us mentally as such. We may not even actually be speaking their language.

Or it really is an extension of English, but for another planet dimension? entirely, that possibility is somewhat far fetched.

There's something earnest about Jim, rattling off simple tactical truths and idealism as if they were always so easily meshed, and Daniel doesn't feel like being the one to point out how meaningless numbers are when they have so little reason to trust each other.]

Mmm. Well, if you've decided to try and shoulder our efforts into something like organization, I'm good with most types of wilderness terrain, and I'm up for it.

If it hasn't been yet, I am not overly worried about it being a target--unless someone takes it into their head that they shouldn't allow these... awakenings.

But I agree--someone being there, to acquaint people with the situation as we know it, will be useful.

I haven't seen any signs of recent attack, from the outside, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be.

Though...why would we be deemed a threat? We're refugees. None of us want anything more than to go home.

We need supplies and possibly a medic, as well. Although we--I was repaired somehow, before I awoke. [That was disturbing: he'd been dying, spark chamber torn open by Braid's lance, and yet he'd onlined here entirely intact.]
