[Rhade sounds a little distant when he speaks. Less forceful than usual, because he's having a What is the point? moment. His tone is a little cracked and weary, even.]
If anyone sees Kara Thrace, please inform her her that I liberated one of her bottles of alcohol from her new living establishment. If anyone sees Diziet Sma? -Well. You're not going to. She's back in her pod aboard the ship to last until the power gives out, anyway.
I would recommend if anyone who woke up in the ship has recently disappeared, you go and look for them there. It may be a sign of further malfunction.
[And he shuts off the feed.]
*OOC: Early before the windstorm on Wednesday, before the fire has started.

At least she's safe for now.
Do you need anything? [Free optimism on offer here to balance out your pessimism, Rhade.]
[Private]
[Private]
That...doesn't sound very comforting.
[Private]
[Private]
You're not going to disappear into a pod. And even if you did, we'd figure out a way to get you out eventually. [Rhade stuck in a pod wouldn't be great, but it would be less final than dying.]
[Private]
I'm being absurd. If it's me that goes you'll rebuild the Commonwealth by preaching to the dinosaurs until they spontaneously evolve.
[He's drunk.]
[Private]
Where are you? I'm taking you home. You sound like you'd probably fall over if you tried to walk by yourself.
[Private]
And he takes a moment before responding.] I'm at the ship. [Idiotic, moronic ship.]
[Private]
[They know so little about the ship, but surely eventually someone could figure out how to get the pods open.]
I'm coming. Don't wander off.
[Private]
[This is the night Dylan has to look forward to.]
[Private]-->Spam
Just stay put, I'll be right there.
[He hurries to the ship, moving at a brisk jog. He doesn't know exactly where Gaheris is, but once he gets to the ship he goes to where the rows upon rows of pods are located.]
Gaheris? [He calls out.]
[Spam]
He waits until he gets there.]
[Spam]
I guess there's one for all of us here.
Doesn't mean it's going to claim you, though.
[He levers himself to the ground so he's sitting next to Gaheris, takes a drink from the (pretty throat-scorching) bottle and then discreetly sets it down away from Gaheris, out of easy reach.]
[Spam]
drunkenhawk.] You moved that bottle. [He doesn't reach for it, though. Instead, he just grumps and leans his shoulder into Dylan's.]You never notice anything obvious. Except for things you have absolutely no way of knowing. How do you do that?
[Spam]
He supports Gaheris' leaning form easily enough.]
I don't know what you're talking about. You. Are drunk.
[Spam]
Okay, yes I am. But you do. You notice things. Like that time you successfully revealed that message from the Vedran Admiral was fake. [He shifts to slip his fingers through Dylan's.] It was impossible for you be able to know that from a signature Andromeda hadn't even identified. [He motions with his other hand.] You notice this, and then for months Thompson tries to warn you about your birthday party? Quite obviously- they didn't tell me about it and I could still see what he was up to. And you didn't even notice.
How?
[Spam]
Sometimes I get hunches. [Although they were more than hunches. He'd known the signature was a fake; it wasn't just a guess. He just didn't know how he'd known.]
And Thompson was pretty subtle with those hints. [As subtle as a brick to the head. And yet Gaheris was right. He still didn't notice it.
Gaheris is holding his hand? Why is Gaheris holding his hand? He pats Gaheris' arm, just above the wrist, carefully avoiding his bone blades.]
C'mon, I'll help you up. [Which requires holding Gaheris' hand to pull him up, so it all makes sense. He starts to shift his weight so he can stand.]
[Spam]
[And what? He's standing now?! This wasn't what he wanted to do. But Dylan is standing, so he joins him dizzily.]
I think it's a little amusing you call where we live 'home'. I think we've been in the military too long when that becomes an acceptable title for a place neither of us want to be, but the only place we can really have each other. [And he pats his shoulder. Oh poor, vapid Dylan.]
[Spam]
[And he has Gaheris on his feet and is holding him upright.]
Be it ever so humble, there's no place like it. It's not the Andromeda, but we've been in worse places. Put up a couple curtains, maybe some flowers in the window... [He says teasingly. Right now finishing fixing the floor and the leaks in the roof is the bigger priority.]
[Spam]
And then stares into those bright blue eyes of Dylan's with his large dark ones. Searching. A little needy. A little sad. Worried he'll make another mistake he'll regret, miss a chance that he would never have again.]
You. Are so obtuse. [Fine. Alright. He's ready to go home. He gives his arm a pull.]
[Spam]
[He doesn't know what to make of Gaheris' long, lingering look. Maybe it wasn't anything, just Gaheris lost in drunken thought for a few seconds. Although it's such an odd expression, not usually one he sees on Gaheris' face, that he wonders what it is he's thinking about.
Then Gaheris calls him obtuse and he snorts a laugh.]
That's what I've got you for, to notice the things I don't.
[Spam]
[But all his boneblades are there.]
[Spam]
[Spam]
You're somewhere you don't want to be, in another situation you don't want to be in. When you're fixing a mistake I made. ...It seems like a small price to pay even if the scheme is as ludicrous as anything else around here.
[Spam]
You don't need to be so damn independent all the time. [And he claims Gaheris' arm again and puts it over his shoulder.]
Thank you for giving up a boneblade. Although you could have told me about it sooner. [Damn secretive Nietzscheans.]
