To all of us stranded here - my name is Colonel Telford of the US Air Force. I'd like to help further our attempts to get ourselves organized.

I understand that we have some exploration parties established and out there looking for answers by now. However, I feel like we should have some sort of ground base to bundle our efforts as well. I'd also like to take inventory and know where we stand in terms of provisions, medical supplies and weapons at this point.

I wasn't in the best condition when I came to and I could imagine I won't be the only one - are there any doctors around who could establish an infirmary and tend to the injured? Do we have people with scientific background who could start working on the ship and those pods?

Finally, are there people with combat experience among us who would be willing to establish a watch and securing of the perimeter with me?

Honestly I would wager our best chance for reliable medical equipment would be a thorough investigation of the ship. That Edmund guy might know something about anything local but it might not be in the best shape.

Spent the last seventeen years on one ship or another, though, so where I'm from doesn't make so much of a difference anymore.

[A pause, as he looks around his end of the video feed.] And I believe those who live here may be learning that lesson themselves.

It's tempting to go with "I'm sorry", but as a soldier he knows how empty and overused that phrase is. Especially with things going to hell.]
