Behind her a large dog pops up to nuzzle at her, making her nearly fall and drop the communicator as she tries to shove it off a bit. Just enough so that she doesn't fall before she's reaching out to hug the big ball of fur. ] I'm leaning towards nuclear apocalypse in Bete Noire that somehow The Dog survived right now.

The hospital doesn't seem to mind employing a telepath. [Well, for a given value of employing. She's quite happy being a volunteer.]
