Or, you know, strap him to the bed in case the whole going crazy and then passing out thing's going to be a recurring act. Because that's not fun for anyone.

That's one way of putting it, yeah. Of course, it was the island, so it was more jagged scrap metal than walls, but you've got the general gist of things.

[It's all stated in an incredibly offhand tone, as though the entire experience isn't anything approaching a big deal.]

[That sounds a bit harrowing, and Lyall pauses in what he's doing on his end-- getting dressed, as it happens-- and is compelled to ask:]

Are you all right?

[He stops himself before asking if Kaidan is all right. He'll find that out himself in a moment.]

[Which is complete and utter bullshit, but he'd be hard pressed to admit that to someone he liked, let alone Lyall.]

[Yeah, Lyall isn't buying it, mostly because being told he was thrown into walls and things by Kaidan's biotics means he really should be lying, unless he has a healing ability like a werewolf. He resumes getting dressed on his end, but he does say:]

If you were injured, I hope you at least sought medical help, yourself.

You're not going to score any points here. Besides, I actually do know what I'm doing. One guy's a little less daunting than an entire invading army.

[professorwolf]

[Why does everything this man says and does irritate him? Lyall cannot figure it out, and he doesn't like it. But his response is coolly polite when he makes it.]

There is very little I know about your past, Mister Stark. I was admittedly unaware you had faced down an entire invading army all on your own. I stand corrected, and I will refrain from expressing any concern towards your potential injuries in the future.

I wasn't on my own, and you weren't concerned. I know social obligation when I hear it.

[professorwolf]

[Affronted that anyone would really think he wouldn't care if one of his friends managed to injure someone else, no matter how offensive that individual, Lyall answers stiffly,]

I have to say, Mister Stark, you do not know me any more than I know you. I will thank you not to make assumptions about my motivations.
