I am awake. Was anyone else hurt? I hope not. Despite not knowing how long I have been asleep, it seems that I am well. The three of you have my gratitude for your efforts and my apologies for being foolish enough to be caught in such a situation. If any of you were harmed, I shall be most grieved.

Andraste be praised. Well, if you are amenable, I would like to thank you with a dinner or something. At the very least, I would like to get to know you better. Not only are you a brave woman, but you are very capable and I am in your debt.

Oh, well thank you for saying so. Dinner would be nice. Did you have a particular day in mind?

[A hint of laughter touches Elissa's voice.]

No, not yet. In fact, I'm not even certain of this day at present nor how long that I have been gone. Allow me to find my wits again and then I shall be better at making plans.

Sure. There's no rush. I can tell you it's been two weeks since we were at the crash site.

That long.

I suppose my injuries were rather severe. This means that I've missed the Festival and Akito's birthday party does it not?

[voice]

[hypospraying]

They were.

[And field medicine couldn't hold her together long enough. Christine wished she could have done more.]

Yeah, unfortunately.

Perhaps death will be an acceptable excuse for missing such an event. I cannot see Akito holding a grudge - I only hope he was not disappointed since I had promised him that I would go.

I am unfamiliar with the way such things work on Verdana. At home, dead usually meant dead, though I am almost certain I was once revived from the dead early on in my travels. Do you know if my armor can be located anywhere?

[There was nothing like dying and coming back to life to make you question the mysteries of the universe.]

Umm, you could try at the hospital? That's assuming you already checked in your foot locker.

I did. The locker held nothing but some simple clothing, shoes, and another communications box.

Have you died and returned here as well, Christine?

I have, yeah. It was when we all got shuffled around through time. Not a pleasant experience.

Then tis an unpleasant experience we share. Kozmotis sounded grumpier than usual when he replied to my message, so I am uncertain about inviting you over to dine. Do you know of any taverns with good food in the city?

[She rattles off a couple names and what streets they're on.]

At least, those are what I've tried so far.

[The sound of an approaching hovercraft makes her next words difficult to hear, so Elissa shouts at the device.]

I SHALL CONTACT YOU AGAIN! I THINK MY RIDE IS HERE!

[Christine has to think that over, so it's actually good that they have to hang up, since it gives her time to choose. Shouting back, she says:]
