I could use a heads up on the situation, here. I don't remember a briefing for this.

[A forced attempt at an almost joke, except it's true enough that it has him unsettled. How did he get here?]

[A somewhat rumpled and sleepy-looking Asgardian answers the call, but only after he's caught up on two days worth of lost sleep from his little jaunt through time.]

Rogers? I fear Fury is not here, and he would probably be very angry if he was. Stark is, however. And I do not believe any of us were briefed. Are you well?

[Forgive him stating the obvious, there, and being a bit oblivious. Still not all the way awake.]

Thor. Good to see you're still in one piece. Yeah, I have a feeling Fury wouldn't be too happy about the situation, either.

Pepper filled me in some, and a few other helpful ship-locals. How are you holding, here?

Well enough. Though I just spent two days, or what feels like two days, jumping through time and space.

[Hence, the sleepy sounding. He pauses, then, though, and frowns at the screen in confusion.]

... wait. When did you arrive, Rogers?

Arrive? This morning. Woke up in a a little metal box.

It's been an adjustment.

[As if he isn't still trying to figure out what all went down and why. Or if this is some kind of dream influenced by that portal.]

[There's a pause while Thor scrubs the last of sleep from his face, then pushes back his slightly tangled hair and actually looks alert at last.]

Aye, it is at that. I still keep expecting Heimdall to find me and whisk me home, but as yet, we seem to be stranded. Has anyone told you where you are and what is the situation?

I was briefed, some, by Ms. Potts and a few other people on the ship. Every time I think I've heard everything, something new comes along to throw me for a loop.

I heard there was some trouble around, recently. Has that situation been handled?

[Thor's face falls a bit, at the reminder. Loki, as far as he knows, is still back on that ship, not yet resurrected from that battle and still quite possibly very angry with him.]

For some definitions of the word "handled", perhaps. The danger has passed, for now, but there appears to be more lurking about. It is simply not threatening us directly at the moment.

The danger is still present, then. Seems like whatever hit, hit pretty hard. Is there something I can do to help prepare for when they come back looking for more?

[Not if. Because that just didn't seem likely. Not if that attack had been a first sweep.]

[Thor considers a moment, then offers,]

Find yourself some armor. It stood me well, against their blades and spines-- and even if you are scratched by one, it causes terrible pain, sickness, and death. Beyond that, familiarize yourself with the city and places they might be tempted to attack. Large gathering areas seem a likely target.

[Thor isn't a seasoned warrior for nothing, after all.]
