I'm sorry to interrupt you both when you're so busy. Is there a place we might be able to meet later to talk? When things have settled down.

[Chloe was impressed. When Nem told her to find 'Alenko' or 'Stark,' she had no idea what she was in for. At least they both seemed to be the hands-on type, and if they were part of the good guys, she wouldn't be complaining.]

Hey, no, don't apologize for that.

[Kaidan looks earnestly reassuring, much in the same way as a police dog that didn't mean to be offputting. He lifts his hands -- to ward off any more low flying apologies, apparently.]

This is the kind of busy where you have to take your downtime as it comes. But I figure it'll all settle out in another couple days, if nobody from outside dumps more fuel on this particular fire. If you want to talk then, sure. Ah... about what, exactly?

[A small, self-conscious shrug follows Kaidan's words . Chloe does relax slightly, though, offering a small smile. His manner and words reminded her of someone.]

I just don't want to get in the way. You're helping people, and there is enough chaos going on right now that anyone can see you'd be busy.

[But if he had a bit of down time right now, then Chloe would take it.]

I need to find out more about Salvation, and the people from that ship. I--I just woke up a while ago, and I have a lot of questions.

[A deep breath--Chloe's rehearsed how vague her tone should be--and she plows ahead. She can't help it if her face spreads out with a rapid fire blush. At least she doesn't stutter.]

I also have questions about a man named Nem. Who he was and all that.

Well... that I can definitely help with. I'm one of the people working on getting her back up and running, so, ah... yeah. I can fill you in on that.

[There's a moment where a display of orange light materializes around Kaidan's left arm, and he flips through a few things with the fingers of his right hand shifting and flying to access them. It looks very much like the descendent of swipe technology for a smartphone.]

What parts of town are you familiar with? I can think of a couple places we could meet up -- a lot of this stuff isn't something I really want to put on an open network broadcast, y'know?

[A look of relief, followed by a genuine smile.]

[Then Chloe's staring, brows high on her forehead as she watched Kaiden mess with what looks like fancy technology--or maybe some spinoff of magic.]

Huh. Can you teach me how to do that?

[Or was she seeing something a bit more supernatural rather than technological?]

I'm familiar with the areas near the flop, and around the ship. I've been exploring as much as possible since I woke up here, but there are only so many places you can see in about a week. Especially with the riots and f-fire.

[Kaidan's smile is crooked but genuine at seeing the tiny teenager's attention shift, however briefly, to being intrigued by technology instead of worrying about the ongoing rioting.]

Sure -- it's an omni-tool, basically just a wearable computer with a holographic interface. But I'll add that to the list of things to talk about when we meet up. Speaking of which... I'm thinking Callahan's.

[Finished with checking his readouts, he waves the orange display back into non-existance and looks to the camera pickup again.]

It's a cafe on the edge of the trade district, so definitely stay clear until things settle, but the woman who owns it is actually Stark's girlfriend, so not only do they have good coffee he's pretty likely to be there too.

Omni-tool... Interesting name. I look forward to it.

[Then Chloe laughs, head tilting in consideration.]

Okay. That's the place Tony recommended, too, so it makes sense that his girlfriend owns it. If you want to meet us for lunch at the same time, I'm game. I'll be bringing my boyfriend, anyway. Otherwise we can meet whenever you aren't busy. It's not like we're going anywhere any time soon.

Well... I hope to change that, in time. [Kaidan jokes on the subject of Salvation and the massive to-do list that are her repairs.] But fair enough. Stay safe, Chloe, we'll meet up when this has all blown over.

Good. [Chloe's being absolutely serious. She is holding you to that, Kaiden.] I plan on doing anything and everything within my abilities to help.
