001 ♖ [video]
[The man on your video screen is wearing a tux. He's not James Bond though.
In fact he's a writer from New York City, who was on his way to get married (for the third time) when he blacked out while driving and woke up in a pod. It was by far the oddest experience he's ever had, and Richard Castle has had many odd experiences. At first he thought he was in some kind of government facility, that the SUV with the black out windows that had been tailing him had put him here where some kind of weird experiments happened. Waking up in a pod in your boxers is enough to throw anyone. He'd put on the clothes he'd been wearing, found in the footlocker next to the pod and managed to locate the rest of his stuff. His cell phone was deader than dead, of course, so he couldn't call Kate. It seemed, other than the creepy pods filled with what looked to be people, nobody was around keeping him in one place. He wasn't a prisoner, so he decided to explore.
Stepping out of the hatch, he observed a completely different world. It was not New York. It was possibly not even Earth.]
Uh. I take it this isn't the Hamptons?
[What the hell has he gotten himself into now?]

Because they're awesome. That's way cooler than a gun or a sword. I mean, I do agree with Han, a blaster is pretty handy, but it's a lightsaber, come on. It's a laser you control with your hand.
I can shoot a gun, but trust me, it's not as impressive.

Am I going to have to give you the a lightsaber is a dangerous weapon used only by a Jedi Knight speech?
no subject
No. No, not at all.
[Not like authoritative lectures have ever stopped him in the past. Just ask Kate.]

[Luke holds his not giving in face for a moment but gradually it softens and he sighs.]
Tell you what. I know settling in around here takes a while but when you feel like you need a break from everything just come and find me. I'll give you a couple lessons.
[He knows that Castle would never have the reflexes to handle a lightsaber properly but he'll keep the blade at a low power setting and let him swing it around to de-stress. Everyone could use that around here.]

Oh.. yeah? That would be awesome, thanks.
Um.. I do have some actual questions too. I was told to locate a Pepper Potts? Where might I find her?
no subject
Oh! Uh, yeah, she's usually out at Callahan's. It's her cafe-slash-office. It has its own building in the center of town but if you need help finding it I'll be on duty around that area in a couple hours.

We've been facing some restless civilians, riots, angry drunks, mostly with political motivations. In broad daylight you should be alright but I can contact someone to bring you a transport if you'd like. Someone working on the ship today might have one, too, but if you're armed I wouldn't worry about it too much.
[Of course, to normal people this would be scary stuff but Luke's been fighting bone creatures and sea monsters and he just finds this stuff more annoying than anything else.]

I'm not armed, actually. I had been on my way to my wedding before I woke up here. So yeah.. a transport would be great.
