[Pietro's looking a bit more clean-cut than he has been lately (he's been letting his hair grow out a little these past few months). He also appears confused, bordering on annoyed. The background is clearly a section of Poseidon, from high up. He appears to be on a tall building.]

Quicksilver here. Wherever here is. It's sure as hell not HQ, and I'm definitely not wearing my clothes. [Yes, he is. He made them himself, even.] And this isn't my communicator. What gives? Scarlet Witch? Cap? Anybody copy? [He looks away, grumbling the last part just loudly enough for the mic to pick up.] Fuck, I'd take Clint if he could tell me what the hell's going on.

[The backdrop on the other end is Tony's workshop - he appears, today, to be working on the skeleton for yet another suit. (Likely no surprise, that, whichever universe you happen to be in.)]

You look dressed to me. But you know, if you're hallucinating nudity, these things do have a voice-only option.

[Oh, good. At least he's found a network that the Avengers have access to, which means he's not completely on his own here. He relaxes fractionally, although his expression shifts solidly to annoyance. Of course it had to be Tony who answered.]

Ha, ha. I know I'm wearing clothes, Stark, thanks. They're not mine though, and I'd really like to know why I woke up wearing them, thanks. For that matter, mind filling me in on where we are? Because last I knew, I was at Avengers Mansion.

Avengers what now?

[Congratulations, Pietro, you have Tony's full attention. Of course, he's staring like maybe the kid's sprouted an extra head, but at least he's not mostly distracted by his work.]

You know you're supposed to use proper ventilation when playing with solvents, right?

...Riiiight. The Mansion? HQ? You know, where a bunch of us crash between missions? Cripes, man, you funded the place! Designed most of it, too. I don't think I'm the one who's been huffing fumes here.

[Tony's getting an equally baffled look right back. The kid doesn't seem to be joking around.]

Yeeeeah, that...never happened. The Avengers were a SHIELD initiative.

[Not...that he's not designing them space in the tower, but this kid doesn't need to know that.]

I'd note this down as more alternate dimension crap, but one, you're, like, twelve, and two, you weren't an Avenger yesterday.

Unless there's two of you running around now.

Uh... you okay, Pietro? You didn't hit your head or anything?

Uh, yeah man. They were. And you built us an HQ. I think you'd better back up and fill me in on this whole "alternate dimension crap" thing, thanks. [Yeah, he uses air quotes.] Because my sister and I have been Avengers for over a year, now. And we're eighteen. Both of which you should damn well know.

[He's a little weirded out by a stranger using his real name.]

[Because those are definitely his clothes. Todd didn't exactly watch him make them, since he's kind of too fast to see when he does stuff like that, but he knows he made them.]

What, did someone stick a nametag on me when I wasn't looking? [He checks his shirt, just in case.] Look, look. I don't know what's going on here, but I'm not your 'bro', and I'm fine. Or I will be once someone tells me what the hell's going on!

[So much for this being an Avengers-only network. Damn.]

[Because Jan hadn't known about the battle of New York.]

[He looks hurt. You hurt his feelings, Pietro. Todd's used to a lot of abuse from the guy, but being called "not you bro" is worse than usual.]

You live with me. Me, Kurt, Molly, and you. Just us mutants, stickin' together. So, uh, that's what's going on. I dunno what you think is going on.

Yeah, 'course. She's one of the founders. She and Pym are usually off doing... I dunno, science stuff, I guess. But she's around when we need her.

[Why shouldn't he know the Wasp? This was delving into weird territory very fast.]

Yeah, see, you're definitely confused, kid. My sister and I live with the Avengers. Far as I know, I just woke up in this crazy place. [He feels a bit guilty, what with how the guy looks like he just kicked his puppy or something, but he has no idea who this is, or why any of this should be upsetting for him.]

In my history, she isn't. Pym's made a name for himself in academic circles, but Jan and I? Never met.

[He rakes a hand through his hair, standing it on end like a hedgehog's bristles.]

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you don't remember waking up on the giant spaceship.

Your sister lives with her girlfriend, the Jedi person.

[Can't live with Pietro that long and not know that much.]

You used to live at the Brotherhood house. Uh, not that I blame you for wanting to live somewhere else but, uh. You didn't. Far's I know, anyway.

[He's not clever enough to pick up on the "alternate universe" thing yet. He's just confused.]

Okay, so is you having crazy time going to make you late for dinner?

[Ugh. Molly doesn't need this. He doesn't need this. What now, and why now, and will poorly delivered sarcasm make anything better? He's almost sure the answer to that last one is no.]

Okay, this is getting more messed up by the minute. So what you're saying is that you're a different Tony than the one I know?

[Still kind of a dick, but hey. Takes one to know one, and he'll freely admit to that.]

I woke up here. Well, in the middle of the street, actually. But it sure felt like waking up. What the hell do you mean by 'spaceship?'

[Clearly, he has a lot of catching up to do.]

Girlfriend? Jedi? What the hell's a Jedi? Or the Brotherhood, for that matter. [He's managed to stay blissfully out of mutant politics, as far as he recalls.] I mean, come on. Now you're just making stuff up. At least have it be believable.

Uh... we live together. Should I call a doctor?

Sure, let's go with that.

[His expression's gone remote again, but it's a focused sort of distance, like he's working a problem.

Which he is.]

Look north. Giant metal thing, about the size of Manhattan. It's hard to miss. Most of us woke up there.

How should I know? I just know that's what she calls herself, okay?

[Defensive and unhappy, yup.]

Brotherhood. You know. Set up by Mystique and Magneto, your dad? Mutant rights? Crappy little house where the electricity's always goin' out and stuff? I ain't makin' any of it up! If I was, it'd be a lot cooler, yo.

I had wondered about that. Spaceship, huh? Well, I guess it's not too weird, after some of the things I've seen the past couple years. So what does it mean, if I didn't wake up there like the rest of you?

[He's being oddly cooperative, for Pietro.]

Look, I don't know what's going on here, but I can promise you that no, no we don't.

[He's starting to look less sure of himself, though.]

You were the one who invited me to the mutant house. I'm sure if we ask Dr. McCoy he'll come take a look at your head.
