[Pietro's looking a bit more clean-cut than he has been lately (he's been letting his hair grow out a little these past few months). He also appears confused, bordering on annoyed. The background is clearly a section of Poseidon, from high up. He appears to be on a tall building.]

Quicksilver here. Wherever here is. It's sure as hell not HQ, and I'm definitely not wearing my clothes. [Yes, he is. He made them himself, even.] And this isn't my communicator. What gives? Scarlet Witch? Cap? Anybody copy? [He looks away, grumbling the last part just loudly enough for the mic to pick up.] Fuck, I'd take Clint if he could tell me what the hell's going on.

...Riiiight. The Mansion? HQ? You know, where a bunch of us crash between missions? Cripes, man, you funded the place! Designed most of it, too. I don't think I'm the one who's been huffing fumes here.

[Tony's getting an equally baffled look right back. The kid doesn't seem to be joking around.]

Yeeeeah, that...never happened. The Avengers were a SHIELD initiative.

[Not...that he's not designing them space in the tower, but this kid doesn't need to know that.]

I'd note this down as more alternate dimension crap, but one, you're, like, twelve, and two, you weren't an Avenger yesterday.

Unless there's two of you running around now.

Uh, yeah man. They were. And you built us an HQ. I think you'd better back up and fill me in on this whole "alternate dimension crap" thing, thanks. [Yeah, he uses air quotes.] Because my sister and I have been Avengers for over a year, now. And we're eighteen. Both of which you should damn well know.

[Because Jan hadn't known about the battle of New York.]

Yeah, 'course. She's one of the founders. She and Pym are usually off doing... I dunno, science stuff, I guess. But she's around when we need her.

[Why shouldn't he know the Wasp? This was delving into weird territory very fast.]

In my history, she isn't. Pym's made a name for himself in academic circles, but Jan and I? Never met.

[He rakes a hand through his hair, standing it on end like a hedgehog's bristles.]

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you don't remember waking up on the giant spaceship.

Okay, this is getting more messed up by the minute. So what you're saying is that you're a different Tony than the one I know?

[Still kind of a dick, but hey. Takes one to know one, and he'll freely admit to that.]

I woke up here. Well, in the middle of the street, actually. But it sure felt like waking up. What the hell do you mean by 'spaceship?'

[Clearly, he has a lot of catching up to do.]

Sure, let's go with that.

[His expression's gone remote again, but it's a focused sort of distance, like he's working a problem.

Which he is.]

Look north. Giant metal thing, about the size of Manhattan. It's hard to miss. Most of us woke up there.

I had wondered about that. Spaceship, huh? Well, I guess it's not too weird, after some of the things I've seen the past couple years. So what does it mean, if I didn't wake up there like the rest of you?

[He's being oddly cooperative, for Pietro.]

[He keys in a secure code almost absently, like it's on autopilot. There's no way to say this without risking freaking the kid himself out, but at least they can forestall city-wide panic.]

That you need a neural scan. We've had transdimensional crap, but as far as I know, no one's ever displaced a double who's already been active.

[He grimaces slightly.]

This could be a first, but I'd rather rule out one of our friendly neighbourhood telepaths screwing with your head before assuming we have a whole new problem.

[Pietro straightens, frowning a little as he watched Tony intently on the little screen of his communicator. He looks a bit disturbed by the idea, and definitely unhappy. Previous experience would suggest that he's about to deny anything's wrong and refuse to listen any further.]

[Instead, he finally gives a stiff nod.]

Okay. Are you equipped to do it, and if so, where can I meet you?

[Hey, he might not get along with Tony, exactly, but they've worked together, in his timeline. He knows his Iron Man well enough to believe that this isn't something he'd joke around about.]

The hospital has a neuroimaging suite. I'll send you a map of the city.

[Which should be hitting...now.]

Got it. Be there in a minute. You'll still be the one doing it though, right?

[He's not sure he likes the idea of a stranger poking around in his head.]

I'll be there, but I'm not a doctor.

[There's a slight pause before he adds,] It's non-intrusive. No one's going to be getting inside your head, just taking medical diagnostics.

And I'm guessing Doc Banner isn't here? [He probably would've mentioned, otherwise.] Damn. Well, see you soon.

(OOC: Anything I should know about the diagnostics result, or is it just going to come back 'everything normal'?)

[There's the briefest of hesitations before he replies. Bruce had died, and returned, and vanished, and though it's been six months, it still bothers him.]

'Fraid not.

((OOC: Nope. It's timeline entanglement, not any sort of mind control, so it'll just come back normal within tolerances for mutant speedster.))

Bummer. It's not everyone who can actually make chess a challenge, for me.

[He nods, then signs off. To go to the hospital, presumably.]
