[Video] [Wednesday Evening]
Yeah, so...um...
[Roddy hesitates, sorting out his thoughts, before he voices what's on his mind.]
I really need a job, I don't care in what, but I'm really good at playing the violin, and if anyone has a rat problem, I can take care of that like...really fast. Anything else within reason, just let me know what you want me to do.
[He's about to turn off the device when he realizes...]
Oh, by the way, my name's Roddy Geiger and I'm new here. So...uh...hi, I guess.

[It's a genuine question, but because he's, well, himself again, it comes out sarcastic.]
[audio]
[He pauses, thinking about it for a moment.]
Haven't had much luck yet, though.
[audio]
[He'll wait and see if this guy gets any results, first.]
Welcome to planet crazy, by the way. Anyone warn you about waking up suddenly and not being yourself?

I'm not sure if she's paying or just looking for fellow band members, but a young woman named Priss was asking after musicians a few days ago.
In terms of jobs, I could stand to have my grain warehouses checked for rodents. What sort of trapping methods do you use? Obviously poison is right out, that close to a human food supply.
I don't use poison.
[He pauses, like he's carefully weighing whether he should say more, but...well, Neville openly mentioned magic...still, he dodged the answer.]
I have something that will get them to follow me out. It's completely effective, and completely safe around food.
Some sort of sound cue, then? We've done a few trials back where I'm from with different frequencies, but they haven't proved workable for long-term use yet -- too many headaches for the granary employees to have it on constantly.

[Pepper looks as though she's about ready to dust her hands over a job well done, nod crisp and pleased.]
[[OOC: Did you want to log this or handwave it?]]
Re: [Video]
[And lo, a second later a little map file with the name of Pepper Potts attached to it transmits itself to his device.]
I look forward to meeting with you, Roddy.
[[OOC: If you're OK with handwaving, I'd appreciate it -- thesis writing is putting a serious crimp in the number of threads I can manage.]]

Ah, rats. I too have passed the time eliminating pests. Of course, there are far better ways to make money than simply chasing vermin my friend.
[Audio]
[And sounding very interested.]
[Audio]
But aside from hunting, there is profit for those who can sit quietly with their ears open and pay attention to what they hear. Much like how one might listen to hear the rats, if you take my meaning.
[Audio]
And I'd be up for the dinosaur thing, but I have no experience with killing things.
no subject
In that case, I would advise you to start with smaller and less pointy game before attempting the dinosaurs. Listening may be of more profit to you.
The town has felt some unrest lately. Murders, riots... curfews. There are those who speak at length about how this is an injustice. You may find profit in listening to them, one way or another.
no subject
I'll take a shot at that. I don't know how quickly I'll be able to make anything off of it, but I could get lucky.
no subject
I wish you luck, ser. Do let me know if anything interesting comes to your ears, yes?
no subject
Yeah, I'll make sure to let you know. If I hear something, I mean. I'll probably keep getting lucky to myself.
no subject
But... I shall leave you to your hunt, whatever the form may be.
[With that cheerful exhortation, the audio drops.]
