I really need a job, I don't care in what, but I'm really good at playing the violin, and if anyone has a rat problem, I can take care of that like...really fast. Anything else within reason, just let me know what you want me to do.

[He's about to turn off the device when he realizes...]

[Pepper's mind, despite the presence of people of the magical persuasion flitting in and out of her life and occasionally working as a short-order cook, jumps not to the supernatural but to the scientific as she parses that explanation. She nods gently, an eyebrow raised in interest]

Some sort of sound cue, then? We've done a few trials back where I'm from with different frequencies, but they haven't proved workable for long-term use yet -- too many headaches for the granary employees to have it on constantly.

Yeah, it's sound. It's not something I can do constantly, but I can completely clear out any rats and take them out to the forest outside town, and I can come back regularly to make sure no new ones come by.

Good. Come by and take a survey of the space and let me know what your normal hourly rate would be, and I'll make sure it's translated over into Verdanian credits for you. The banking system here will be familiar enough if you're from a time and place with debit cards.

[Pepper looks as though she's about ready to dust her hands over a job well done, nod crisp and pleased.]

He won't do anything to hide how he's doing it, so he'll show up, play the violin while walking around to make sure any rats will be in range to hear him, and any rats will visibly swarm after him, before leaving the property and heading out to the forest with them.]]
