[Pietro looks tense, but he's dressed, at least. However, the uniform is unfamiliar. He's clearly still inside the ship.]

But can someone tell me why my powers aren't working?!

[His voice climbs a few octaves closer to panic at the end.]

We're pretty cool. Especially now that me and Kurt are back to normal.

He's actually really nice. Normally. He gives good hugs. It was freaky to see him being such a jerk.

Yeah, I only knew him by reputation, back home, but all the X-men seemed like alright sorts. Well. At least not guys who'd drop someone out windows for no reason.

Yeah, they're pretty anti-window dropping.

[She has mixed feelings about the X-Men. But she can say that much.]

Kurt tries to look after the rest of us.

[Molly grimaces a bit at the mention of Pepper Potts. Her thoughts on her were... complicated. Most of her feelings were. But Pietro was right.]

She's kinda involved in everything. I think half the ship people work for her.

At least some things are still the same as back home. [He's more than happy to have Pepper be so close to the one he knows.]

I didn't really know her there.

She's good people. Except for her taste in men.

That is particularly bad.

[Tony is pretty high up on her list of Avengers she has Issues with.]

Heh. I like you. Anyone who has a beef with Tony is okay, in my book. [He'd still back up the other Avenger in a fight, though.]

A lot of people have a beef with him at home ever since [She grimaces and says it like a dirty word] Registration.

[Mutant registration had yet to become a major thing, back home.]

The Superhuman Registration Act. Basically anyone with powers is dangerous and they've gotta be on government lists and not have any secret identity even though these things are important.

... [He just stares for a long moment.]

Okay, that's ffffmessed up. And definitely not something he's ever promoted where I'm from. I'm pretty sure my sister would turn him inside out if he tried, and... well, the guy's a jerk, but not that big of a jerk.

I could see Fury doing that, though.

Fury was helping Cap on the other side, actually. I can never keep track of what he's doing.

I just... I mean, Tony and I don't get along, but I don't see him doing that.

Universes are weird. People decided that people with powers were dangerous. Just because we have them.

It's not like mutants are loved everywhere back home, but I don't think it's that bad. Not with the X-men doing the whole save-the-world bit so publicly.

[He... has been sheltered from the worst of the bigotry, living in Avengers mansion like he did.]

Everyone's always had it out for mutants. No matter how many times the X-Men save the world. Even when there are barely any of us left.

And then they decided it was everyone with powers.

[Which in some ways is almost... no, not better. But it was always dumb for it to be okay to get powers in a lab accident or from being an alien but not if you're born with them.]

I guess I just can't see my Tony screwing over most of his team like that. I mean, he's an asshole, but he watches out for us when we need him to.

I can see why you'd be wary about him, though.
