I'm going to go back to Poseidon, I think. First, I think I need to talk to Leah. Not sure if I should do that now or later.

But, when I get there, I will need somewhere to stay. Living in the ship is only going to get me gray hair and indigestion. Even if it makes a little more sense to me than living without the Railways. I remember David and Manabu and [he grimaces sliightly then looks up at the sky, maybe a bit sad] even Bruce, before we lost him, naggng me to take a vacation. This isn't what I wanted, but I guess it is a break from Big One.

I want to apologize to people here. I've probably been confused, confusing and maybe not friendly. Which makes this hard.

I really do need somewhere to stay. I don't know if I'll have a job yet, though Wes seemed to think that piloting skills were needed. I hope he's right. Honestly, the way things were when I left, I'm not sure I'd have had a job back home either. I suppose it would have been up to Layla and Todo. Damn that bastard Ivanov anyway.

I don't know how to do humble, it seems. I won't get there for a bit, so I guess there's time.

Not by that name, no, but if you speak to Edmund, he is perfectly happy to barter goods, and he has the best stock in the city.

... you know, I have no idea if Edmund if his first name or his last name, come to think of it.

He's always one to have work to do for trade, too, in case you can't find anything more legitimate.

This has be a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I think the bigger part of the problem is me.

I'm grateful for the sympathy, but I'm starting to think I don't deserve it at this point.

And being snappy at the first few people I talked to. It's my fault. [He shrugs.] It's harder to adjust to a life where orders and duty aren't ruling my every moment.

It should be easier, I think, but I have what I have.

Ah, well, I'm sure they will be forgiving once you apologize. If it makes you feel better, however, I imagine it won't take you long to find someone to give you orders and a duty, again.

You think it's that simple? [It might be with Mulan, but he's pretty sure Selenay would just laugh at him.]

So long as I get to keep busy, I will be alright. I hate having too much free time.
