[Video, unlocked] [Late Saturday, Week 73]
[The video shows Diana's face, though not an uncomfortably close-up view of it. She seems to be comfortable enough using this sort of technology.]
I've been told this device is connected to a network that allows me to communicate to those in a similar situation as myself- that is, others who seem to have found themselves evicted from their home realities for no apparent reason, and brought to this one. It seemed fitting to introduce myself.
My name is Diana, though back home I'm known by a few other titles that I don't imagine are quite as important here, though I'm certainly willing to answer questions if you're curious.
I do hope I can offer some sort of service to this community, if I'm to stay here for some time.

We have the reason, actually. What we don't have is a quick fix for the problem. So yeah, 'for some time' is about right.
What do you do?
Re: [Video]
[Diana puts her communicator on a surface now and takes a step back, crossing her arms and raising her eyebrow, for full Intimidating Amazon Princess Effect. Admittedly, this effect is... diminished when transmitted across a tiny screen. Curse the technology of mans wor-...er. Whatever this world is!]

[The grass is green, the sky is blue, and intimidation tactics cause Tony Stark to act like an adolescent.]
And the short answer is that our native realities are experiencing waveform decoherence caused by an extradimensional anomaly. The ship was designed to stabilize the waveforms, which includes rounding up everyone who's been - slipped loose, for lack of a better metaphor.

Me too, actually. When I first left my home island, the press began calling me Wonder Woman after I had a few rather... dramatic appearances in public. I didn't speak English at the time, so I didn't have much choice in the matter.
[She's dropping the intimidation, warming up a little now. She's actually starting to seem a little amused. It is a bit like talking to an adolescent. Albeit one familiar with extradimensional theory.]

[He pauses, gesturing to himself as he offers, in a roundabout way, some context for that supposition.]
Iron Man. Not technically accurate, but I haven't found many reporters with a background in materials science. Including the ones reporting on it.
Most people around here just call me Tony.

It's been quite a journey since then. Now, I find myself once again in a strange new world, though thankfully with far less in the way of a communication barrier or culture shock.
It's nice to meet you, Tony.

Greetings, Diana. I am Fa Mulan, once of the Enchanted Forest. Here I work for the town's sheriff in paroling the outskirts of this city and protecting its inhabitants from bandits, monsters and others who might do them harm.

It sounds like that may be where my skills will be of most use, if you think your force could use another pair of hands. I possess a unique skill with animals that could probably be of particular use, though I've yet to try it with the dinosaurs here.
I think it may be best and see if there is anywhere else I could be of more use before I sign on anywhere officially. This is still all very new.

Did you arrive from the downed spaceship, or elsewhere?

Do you have anywhere set aside for training or sparring? I doubt the locals would take well to seeing me fly around, so taking up a training sword or the like would probably be best. I think best this way.

Hello Diana, my name is Pepper Potts. I can see you've already spoken with my partner, but if you're looking for community service that doesn't involve the ship I can probably give you some leads.

[Diana smiles in that real-life-warrior-princess sort of way that makes her not seem quite real for a second, all kind and protective and and everything at once. It's a bit like talking to Steve. If Steve were a six foot tall woman in a skimpy costume and tiara with a tiiiny hint of something that sounded like a Mediterranean accent of some sort.]
Fa Mulan has mentioned working with the local Sheriff, something I may be suited for. But I am also an excellent teacher of the combative arts- melee particularly. I've been trained since childhood with such weapons, as well as the bow.
I imagine it's worth mentioning my strength is beyond the human norm, as is my healing and durability. Among other things. The gods were generous with these gifts when my mother created me.

[Pepper's voice and expression are still pleasant, but there's a tangible sense of an intellect that's differently focused than Tony's, but nearly as fierce, being turned towards sorting out matters of substance, appearance and local realpolitik.]
There's been some unrest and suspicion in a few isolated quarters about whether the people from the ship pose a danger to the locals here. If you've got your skills demonstrated while standing tangibly in line with local authority, then you're less likely to have people see you offering combat training as a potential threat.

[Diana grins a bit. Pepper reminds her a little bit of Lois, if she'd been more of a multi-tasker instead of almost tunnel-visioned about her stories. She suspects putting the two of them in the same room would create some sort of force to be reckoned with, and finds herself kind of wishing she could do just that.]
I... do wonder if there are other ways I could demonstrate myself as trustworthy as well. Though demonstration of this is probably more compelling than simply stating it.

[Pepper seems to find that thought amusing, for she shakes her head slightly and her smile flashes again.]
Callahan's welcomes a mixed crowd, intentionally so, so if you want a chance to people-watch and find your bearings, the doors are open to you. I've also made a few trade deals to secure coffee.

I'll be sure to stop by Callahan's very soon. If you ever need any assistance with any unloading of large deliveries, feel free to ask- I'd offer to fill in if you were ever short on server staff, but my short stint as a, uh, Taco Whiz employee taught me that I'm very ill-suited to such roles. [She looks more embarrassed about her inability to do the job to her satisfaction than having had it in the first place]
no subject
And honestly?
[Pepper seems to have been sizing Diana up, albeit in the way of someone who likes to see everyone in place, being productive than out of malice or concern]
You really strike me as someone who'd be wasted bussing tables. I'd be more likely to offer you a job on the security side of things.
