I can imagine. Defence satellites can come in handy for more than just defence. [ like intel. or communications. or who knows what else depending on the civilization. tali's pretty sure she doesn't need to add it. ]

Do we -- people from the ship, I mean -- have access to it? Or is it local eyes only?

They've been pretty cooperative about giving information on it so far. I figure we can sweet talk them with enough coffee.

[They certainly haven't said he can't unleash spaceship engineers on it]

Humans do like their coffee. [ she pauses, humming thoughtfully. ] If one of us can get at it long enough to do a few data scans, who knows what we'd be able to learn.

Especially academics. They claim their primary function is to turn it into science.

A few space stories tend to get their attention too.

My people barter with knowledge and stories when we don't have supplies to trade. If coffee doesn't work, count me in.

Quarians are originally from the planet Rannoch, in the Perseus Veil. We're... mostly known for our technology, and for getting kicked off our planet when we went to war with a race of synthetics we created. [ there's a pause, and the tiniest of sighs. ] We're not terribly popular, you can imagine. Don't feel bad about not knowing us.

Not familiar with the Perseus Veil or any droid uprisings. Is this another Earth galaxy thing?

It is.

And I'm still trying to wrap my head around how humans could be so important as to be a constant across universes without even the same star systems. Unless it's all the same galaxy and something happened to get everything renamed at some point in the distant past or future.

[ tl;dr: what makes humans so special, huh? ]

I think I heard one of the doctors mumbling about interdimensional black mould. For some reason none of the other sapient species do the same thing. My galaxy is full of them, and none have ever been duplicated.

You guys kind of are like mould, now that I think about it.

[Which is odd. Very, very odd. But apparently this whole multiverse thing was odd.
