005 ⌥ TEXT; ANONYMOUS [god, i feel like i'm spamming]
If anyone's got a minute to spare, I was wondering if you'd tell me about wherever it is you come from.
The world or worlds, the level of technology, the political hierarchy, your culture and society and how it functions, etc.
[But a few minutes later, a second part is tacked on.]
Forget it. Forget all of that. Don't worry about getting technical.
Just tell me what it was like for you. Your ship or city. Your job. Your friends or family.
If it's not a problem.

So she switches to audio.]
It's me.

Shepard.
[That's her way of greeting. Not a 'hi,' or 'how've you been.']

Then after a pause, she's asking:]
You lived there your whole life?

[She wasn't going to just accept Wheatley's word about the stasis process leaving her brain damaged, but there really was no other explanation for why her life before Aperture was a near complete blank. Obviously she knew things. She could speak and read, knew basic math, knew plenty of things, really. Hadn't she learned all that as a child?]

[audio - private]
Not sure. I know things that I don't think I learned in the facility.
[audio - private]
If you had a chance to remember, would you want to?
[audio - private]
[On the one hand, those were her memories and she had a right to them. On the other, if she remembered everything, it would just make her angry at all she had lost.]
Remembering would be good and bad at the same time. So I don't know.
[audio - private]
That's fair enough.
