To all of us stranded here - my name is Colonel Telford of the US Air Force. I'd like to help further our attempts to get ourselves organized.

I understand that we have some exploration parties established and out there looking for answers by now. However, I feel like we should have some sort of ground base to bundle our efforts as well. I'd also like to take inventory and know where we stand in terms of provisions, medical supplies and weapons at this point.

I wasn't in the best condition when I came to and I could imagine I won't be the only one - are there any doctors around who could establish an infirmary and tend to the injured? Do we have people with scientific background who could start working on the ship and those pods?

Finally, are there people with combat experience among us who would be willing to establish a watch and securing of the perimeter with me?

Is that different for your kind?

However, we have a different understanding about entities similar to your kind, and I grouped you with them. I apologize if I was being disrespectful.

And I'd be interested in hearing more about your world, but perhaps, right now, as you've said, we need to have some security here. How may I help?

I'd say our first priority is securing the immediate area around the ship until we hear back from the exploration teams. I already heard some disconcerting news about air raids and I don't just wanna sit by and wait for that to happen if there's still people trapped inside those pods.

You awakened after many of us, so it stands to reason there must be others.

[He doesn't like the sound of air raids. They are innocents, doing nothing but try to survive. Why would they be attacked?]

Those pods must be protected. Each of them, like us, is a life that did not ask to be brought here.

You up to finding some good strategic points for lookouts?

I think that would be an excellent idea.

Also, the possibility of evacuation. Caches of food or weapons for your kind, safe from the ship.

[Wing will move as he speaks, heading to the entrance the others had used.]

[Telford grabs his sparse gear, heading towards the ship's exit.

He really is curious.]

[Wing is outside, looking toward the Old City when the other exits the ship. He stands about three times the average human's height, the Great Sword on his back almost twice as tall as Telford is.]

[He gives a sheepish shrug when the other arrives.]

It's been a long time since I saw the sun.

... he might at some point ask if there's a way for Wing to take him along :D

[Telford stops in his tracks for a split second to take in the sight, then walks over to join the Cybertronian.]

[He looks over at the sun, realizing he's actually enjoying the fresh air on his face. During his time aboard Destiny he didn't really have a lot of opportunities to leave the ship and accompany teams to planetsides.]

Actually, I can relate. It's been a while for me, too.

[Wing has gotten used to others staring at him, giving them the chance to look. He felt the same way, honestly--he'd felt the same curiosity when he first met Edward.]

Oh? Do you live underground, as well?

Clearly they must become awesomebuddies! :D

Sometimes, yes. [The SGC bunker probably counts as underground.]

But I've spent some time on a spaceship lik this. Different design and technology, of course, but the only light I've had for the last couple of weeks was artificial.

How about you? It's probably a different perception of scales but I'm having a hard time picturing someone your size living an underground life.

[Wing nods.] Space travel is like that.

[They'd fled, wildly, on their handful of ships, bouncing from world to world, trying to get far enough away.]

Oh, our entire city is underground. It's how we stay safe. Undiscovered and unnoticed.

[He gives a slightly guilty shrug.] I have slipped out from time to time.

[He's never heard of that name. Then again, humans didn't make their astrogation charts.]

Perhaps we use a different name? It is a spiral galaxy. I could show you on astrogation sometime.

What we need, [he's musing] is to find the astrogation charts from this place. Maybe we could overlay what we know and find out where we are.

That's a good idea. Though the city doesn't look like it's got too many intact archives left.

I haven't been.

[Size, and all. And the wary knowledge that humans fear him. ]

But there may be some on the ship as well. If we are not the Authorities' ship, we are possibly their enemies.
