now, he turns his attention to his network device. it's different to his last one, but similar enough that he has no trouble navigating his way through it. the draw of the ship is too strong for him to leave the area yet. so when the video cuts in, the metal hull, gleaming in the sun, is all too clear]

[There's something that bothers her about the transmission for a while until it clicks; she's heard that voice before. It's only a matter of matching the voiceprint to her message records to figure out where she'd heard it before. Oh, this is going to be trouble.

Then again, though she didn't really know the guy, she got the impression he wouldn't be one to go pretend-amnesiac. Something weird's going on here, although damned if she knows what. Maybe something happened to his memory? Is it possible he's from a different point in time, since there's people from different eras here? WHAT IS THIS PLACE EVEN.]

Um, if you have the ability to encrypt your transmissions, I would ASAP if I were you. I dunno if you're the same guy or not, but last time a guy who sounded exactly like you posted on here it was directly challenging the fascist regime that's more or less in control of this area and they kinda took exception to that. ┐(˘_˘；)┌

[well, it's definitely a relief to have it all laid out clearly for him. but it's too bad that, as much as he may not be that other version, those actions are still ones he was once responsible for taking elsewhere. after spending all those months in prison though, it's a mistake he has no plans on repeating.]

That's good. Though, it may be true that you have nothing to hide, but there are still some people who might want you dead just because of what the other guy did. Sucks, but sometimes that's how the cookie crumbles.

Well, as long as you know what you're getting into. The Outer Authority guys have a lot of manpower and a lot of guns, so. That's kind of a thing. That, and like... this sounds so weird to write, but if you have some sort of, like... weird powers, I guess? The Authority guys have something that can suppress it? At least that's what people told me.

I just mention it because I gathered that the other guy had some sort of unusual advantage, IDEK what, so I figured there's an even chance you do, too.

They can suppress abilities? How much do you know about that?

Not much, and no one seems to know exactly how they do it, but—anyway, they have these collars I guess that they put on you if they think you're getting too uppity or dangerous and if you've got anything that's, like, not really within the acceptable range of normal I guess it shuts that off until you get the collar off. Which isn't really difficult, but I think you need three people to do it?

I dunno if they do anything else, though I would put money on them sending back data to the Authorities, personally. They handed some out in the last few days, so I'm looking forward to getting to take one apart to see how it works ヽ(゜∇゜)ノ

If I were to obtain one of these collars, could you find a way to disable them all permanently?

I honestly have no idea if I'll be able to figure it out, since I've never seen anything quite like this before, but at the very least it'll be an interesting exercise. I mean, if I *can* figure it out, that would certainly be one of my first goals.

Oh, you really don't need to! I'm pretty sure I can get one off one of the people that got collared in the last raid, and besides, that'd be super dangerous and I wouldn't want you to get in trouble! But in any case, I'm Judy. I don't think I got your name?
