[For a guy who just got kidnapped by aliens, Bruce is looking remarkably calm. He's quiet, too, and doesn't exactly carry himself with any sort of confidence. More to himself than to anyone else;]

As if the invasion wasn't enough. Though somehow, I think these guys are different. I just hope they're not Loki's allies, too.

[Then he pauses, glancing around the ship, which he's still standing in.] I'm going to see what I can figure out about this technology....maybe I can get things working again. If anyone I know is out there, please let me know you're all right.

For anyone else who might be listening...can you tell me anything about this place? Where is it, and who's in charge? I'd like to speak to them. At least, if they can understand English. If not, I guess I'll have to pick up another language.

[Bruce chuckles a bit] I can understand that sentiment. And I'd be happy to help, if you can tell me how to get there. I haven't explored outside the ship yet.

He was going to try to return to his home. And then he'd be able to help us return to our homes.

[Wing trusted him. Wing trusts everyone.]

I wouldn't be surprised if he managed to return home and left you all stranded.

[Bruce sighs.] I'm sorry. He might have left a weirdly good impression on you, but trust me when I say he's bad news. I wasn't joking about the invading and brainwashing.

He...wouldn't have. [But there's an edge of doubt in his voice. He hadn't considered the possibility.]

I can only judge by what I saw when he was here. It was a new start for all of us. Maybe he deserved that. Maybe we all do.

[Well, after everyone's gone and mentioned her, have one Pepper appearing on your screen, Bruce. She's back at her desk space in the hospital, a burgeoning corkboard full of things behind her and meticulous organization before. She herself is wearing a crooked little smile, half wry and half pleased.]

Dr. Banner? I can put you in touch with some of the leadership here, but I've managed to learn a few things myself. I've filtered this video to try and keep it a little more private, although if you want to talk truly freely we might need to meet in person. We're on another planet, some time in the future, and things are... complicated.

Maybe. But I won't trust him if I see him around.

I wouldn't ask you to go against your convictions.

Just...we have enough enemies here already: we don't need to fight among ourselves.

I believe we would have to repair the ship enough to access its databanks in order to truly understand how its creators managed to abduct us - not to mention why. I had initially assumed an ark project, but any threat that could reach across multiple timestreams would be unimaginably powerful.

[She musters a faint smile.] And yes, that is the same Miss Potts. I believe she is currently working with the hospital's staff to manage their inventory. I cannot say where the others might currently be - they have been a far less obvious presence.

A lot of things are here, but thankfully Loki isn't one of them.

[and because it would be rude not to say hello, Steve lifts a hand]

Dr. Banner.

[Bruce is curious about her now, too.] What field do you specialize in?

And they certainly sound dangerous, from everything I've heard. [Not that he's afraid of them in the least.]

[Everything there looks pretty reasonable, except...] I'm sorry, did you say there are dinosaurs?

[Oh Steve, you have no idea how relieved Bruce is to see you. You even get a smile, how about that. And a lifted hand in response.]

Cap. I've heard he's been here, but it's a relief to know he isn't anymore.

Is there anyone else here I might recognize?

[Bruce gives her a small smile, too.] Are you the Pepper Potts everyone's been telling me about? I was told you worked at the hospital.

Don't worry, I would rather just avoid him unless he gave me a very good reason not to.

I wouldn't be surprised if such a thing existed, but I've seen some pretty unimaginable things lately. I'd be glad to help with the repairs however I can.

[He nods.] Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. My name is Bruce, by the way...Dr. Bruce Banner.

Genetics, though I've degrees in several other subjects. And yourself?

[Her expression as she nods becomes bleak and strained.] And - yes. Yes, they are.

We are just in such a precarious state right now; we can't afford anything tearing us apart.

That's me -- although to you I might be more relevant as Tony's girlfriend.

[While she dimples a little at the start of the statement, her expression shifts to something more neutral, masking a little worry as she waits to see whether this is the Bruce Banner from her own reality. The multiplication of Charles Xaviers and the quick-change of Erik Lehnsherrs she's witnessed is more than a little confusing.]

I'm handling some record keeping for the hospital, but I'm no doctor or nurse, or even a candystriper, unfortunately. Are you all right?

[he nods] I thought you might be. He mentioned you, on the way to Stark Tower...that's the last thing I remember, before waking up here.

And I'm fine, yes. Do you need any help, though? I kind of have some experience as a physician.

[That smile makes Steve give a small awkward smile in response. He's not sure if levity is appropriate, but it's Bruce, and someone who understands the whole Avengers thing and isn't Tony is extremely nice to have around.]

I haven't seen him since I've been around and hiding doesn't seem to be his style.

Ms. Potts and Mr. Stark are here. [Note who gets named first.] You might know a few that I don't, there seem to be a lot of people who speak your language around here. [Guess who looks slightly embarrassed that he doesn't speak Science?]

I think I'm from a little bit ahead of you, then -- assuming you were on the way to Stark Tower right after the whole um, alien invasion was sorted out.

[She's had a couple months to watch Manhattan rebuild itself and the news media continue to freak out over what exactly happened. It still doesn't make it easier to process, even as she stands on an alien world and absently tucks a strand of escaped hair behind one ear.]

The local hospital could absolutely use your help, [she assures, steady and serious on this ground.] There was an organized attack a few days ago, and the locals took the worst of the casualties. There are... well, there are a lot of people and not enough int he way of medical staff.

[He's pretty much beaming, now. An scientist and an altruist!] Brilliant.

[...And his smile falters.] The city isn't far from the ship, but you'll - want to be careful. The attack left certain areas rather hazardous, and there's still construction being done.

[His brow furrows, for a moment, as he works out a practical path in his head. When he speaks again, the instructions are thorough but efficient.]

[Hi, Bruce, have a scrawnyish teenager who looks like maybe put his face through a plate glass window a couple days ago.]

You're a scientist?

You look familiar. But, no, I don't know how far we are in the future. I arrived a couple of weeks ago, myself, and I'm still trying to figure this place out.

[You have no idea, Doctor. But Bruce nods, committing the instructions to memory.] Thanks, I appreciate it. ...I'm Dr. Bruce Banner, by the way.
