[For a guy who just got kidnapped by aliens, Bruce is looking remarkably calm. He's quiet, too, and doesn't exactly carry himself with any sort of confidence. More to himself than to anyone else;]

As if the invasion wasn't enough. Though somehow, I think these guys are different. I just hope they're not Loki's allies, too.

[Then he pauses, glancing around the ship, which he's still standing in.] I'm going to see what I can figure out about this technology....maybe I can get things working again. If anyone I know is out there, please let me know you're all right.

For anyone else who might be listening...can you tell me anything about this place? Where is it, and who's in charge? I'd like to speak to them. At least, if they can understand English. If not, I guess I'll have to pick up another language.

[He brightens considerably at that.] Not personally, no, but the hospital can always use more hands.

[Then - well, he'd intently deny that he's pouting.] I persistently remind people of that but they keep telling me to lie down.

[Bruce chuckles a bit] I can understand that sentiment. And I'd be happy to help, if you can tell me how to get there. I haven't explored outside the ship yet.

[He's pretty much beaming, now. An scientist and an altruist!] Brilliant.

[...And his smile falters.] The city isn't far from the ship, but you'll - want to be careful. The attack left certain areas rather hazardous, and there's still construction being done.

[His brow furrows, for a moment, as he works out a practical path in his head. When he speaks again, the instructions are thorough but efficient.]

[You have no idea, Doctor. But Bruce nods, committing the instructions to memory.] Thanks, I appreciate it. ...I'm Dr. Bruce Banner, by the way.

[Bruce is quietly amused, yes.] Well, I've heard stranger names.

[His grin is a bit rueful.] I could have picked far worse, I think.

Can I ask what year you come from?

[Hey, at least people don't call you 'the Hulk'.] I've been given worse.

[He frowns at that, abruptly concerned, but he doesn't pry. ...Yet.]

Ah! You haven't quite discovered the Higgs particle yet.

And that, I'm afraid, is a very difficult question for a time traveller to answer.

[oh, Bruce is even more intrigued] I've been learning about the time discrepancies here, but...you're an actual time traveller? How?

I've heard of the Higgs particle, but it hasn't been discovered yet, no. Are you saying it will be?

[He's grinning, now.] My people have been traversing time for centuries. We're known as Time Lords. [A beat.] We're just a tad full of ourselves, on the whole.

[An earnest nod.] Yes, early in 2013. It will - no, I probably shouldn't say. [His smile turns sheepish.] I really just wanted a reference point.

...With that kind of ability, I'm not surprised that you're not particularly humble about it. What planet are you from? I've met aliens before, but not a race like yours.

[Bruce grins a little, too.] I'm not surprised about the particle either, with the kind of progress that's been made already. But it's probably best to avoid too many spoilers.
