text; backdated to tuesday night (27th)
[he's lost track of time since his arrival. bar the few, brief conversations he's had on the network during his breaks from standing watch over charles' pod, he hasn't spoken to many people yet. he hasn't seen a need to. not while he's still trying to work out what to do next. he knows that charles would be disappointed in him if he knew how little he'd done so far. that he'd spent all this time mourning the loss of someone that hadn't actually belonged to him for years. or was that just months now? he doesn't know anymore.
but regardless, he's forced himself to leave again. this time, for good. until he knows just how to get charles out of the pod, he knows he can't go back. not to mention that already, there's already another problem he needs to deal with.
more than one, really.]
If there are any others here who know a man named Erik Lehnsherr (or Magneto) in their home worlds, now is the time to mention it.
[yes, it's text only right now. no, that isn't changing for any of you yet. sorry?
okay, hold on. you're getting that other question too. the sooner he gets the answers he needs, the better.]
Are there any people here familiar with the technology used to contain those trapped aboard the ship?
I need a way to open one of the pods without harming the person inside.
[and then on to those...other issues.]
[locked to xaviers]
I apologise for my absence since my arrival. There was something that needed to be take care of first.
Charles, if your offer of somewhere to stay still stands, I think I'd welcome it right now.
[and then reluctantly tagged on-]
[locked to shepard]
Thank you.

Thank you.

[though given just how little he's likely to use the room himself, he knows he's undoubtedly going to just consider it charles' room as opposed to both of theirs. fill it with enough books any maybe he'll actually be comfortable there.]

Still Charles would see it as their room and would be very dutiful in maintaining his own space and allowed Erik plenty of room as well.]
I can not imagine that becoming necessary, my friend.
[Charles smiled warmly.]
Unless you get tired of my notebooks creeping onto every flat surface. I have been told that is a bad habit of mine.

[he's fairly sure that nothing short of charles flat out telling him to leave will be enough to make him change his mind. and even then, it's not as though he'd go far. the two charles' and jocelyn are his biggest concerns now; far above the other mutants here. they always will be, and they all have his own charles to thank for that.]
If you start running out of any supplies you need here, just tell me and I'll make sure to find them for you.

[Charles actually sounded a touch concerned as he responded to Erik's teasing.]
I do not mean to scare you away, my friend.
[There was a pause and then a bit of red touched his cheeks as Charles seemed to finally catch on to the idea that he was being teased and he gave Erik a gently scolding look.]
Do not tease me about such things. You have been an invaluable presence for me since we woke up on that damn ship and I certainly do not intend to scare you away.
As for supplies, that is a very generous offer, Erik but I should also know how to gather my own necessities. Might I not go with you, the next time you go?

[because he knows he isn't the easiest person to get along with, and he's fine with that. but he'd like to think that those closest to him at least understand that his attitude toward them has little to do with whether he cares about them or not.]
But yes, you'd likely find it easier to trade with him than I would anyway. If you want to come, you're more than welcome to.
