Oh, trust me, the demons I know are demons. I was nearly taken in by one myself once. Still kicking myself for letting my guard down, but then, when a barely clothed, big breasted woman is offering me a free ship, it's easy to forget she actually just wants to take over my body and use it to kill everything in sight.

...I suppose you are a bit off from what demons look like...

This world has been ravaged by war. The city that offers us hospitality has been badly damaged, and more so after the recent raids. I do not know what level of technology you are accustomed to, but there is little beyond the bare necessities here, unless you brought it with you.

To the north and east is a large dome surrounding another city. It is patrolled viciously, and I would not reccommend approach - its defenders don't balk at killing, and seem to have no interest in talking first. The other main danger here is from the wildlife. There are a number of large predators, most consistent with description of creatures from Earth's history.

No. To all appearances, this is a human colony; in fact, I have not met a single native resident who was not human. Even amongst those who have been transported here, we are a distinct minority.
