001 - [video]

[Oh hey, this is Isabela, staring at her communicator and looking rather skeptical and concerned.]

...Why the fuck do I have this mirror thing? It looks like a small version of that creepy mirror Merrill had. What did she call it? An Elveluian? Elusivan? Something, I don't remember. But I do remember something about it being possessed by demons? Is this damn thing possessed? Why do I have it?

[None of this rant will probably make sense to anyone, of course...]

Oh, and where in the name of Andraste's tits am I?!

I could give you a run-down of postulated theory, mostly outdated and slightly discredited, but that doesn't seem to have much to do with any actuality. For practical purposes, you're somewhere you haven't been before, where you're unlikely to run into anyone you know, and where you're apparently meant to serve some esoteric purpose for the betterment of the locals. And there doesn't seem to be a way back to where you started. At least, that's been my experience so far.

[Not much of an introduction. He can't help being a little more elaborate.]

Thero. Oreska House.

[On the very off chance that means anything.

Depends on their proclivities, I suppose. Scrounging, defense... Most of my time seems to go into elementary magic and the sort of logistics I used to enjoy when I had a market to attend.

[Again?]

Mage is a word that fell out of fashion in the three lands about when the Hierophant fell. I believe the centaurs use it. I, Lady, am an Oreska wizard.

If it makes you feel better, I suppose you can go ahead. But I doubt the magic I practice is much like you've found at home.

[Not that he wouldn't enjoy being surprised.]

I know of at least six distinct schools of magic in my own world, most of them originating on or near one landmass. I can't imagine what I do would look very much like whatever magic you're used to.
