[To say that Pepper's looking like she's been over twenty miles of bad road is really just stating the truth at this point. (And underselling it -- it's been a lot more than twenty miles, all totalled.). Still, she's back in town, her apartment's spartan furnishings visible behind her as she lays claim to a couch that's seen better days but is, blessedly, not a horse.

There remains a businesslike gleam to her eyes all the same: Pepper, it appears, has A Plan.]

I haven't managed death by horse, thanks largely to Captain Rogers and Dr. Banner, and I've got potential good news on the food situation. However, it's not really straightforward, and not really something to discuss over the network.

What I can say is that we've been asked to retrieve some goods as payment, that I have a map, but that it's very old, and that I've been warned about hazards in the location. So, while I can bring this to you, it's not something I can honestly handle myself.

If you're interested in either going along with or leading an expedition to do some treasure hunting, let me know. And if you have experience with translating very old maps, I'd very much like to hear from you. I'll be at my apartment for, um... well, let's just say that not moving sounds like an absolutely amazing idea right now.

[ Boy it was good to hear that she came back safe and sound. Eliot was beginning to wonder if those bandits had caused more problems. ]

Well, nothin' burned down while you were gone. [ Said lightly, but there was a serious undertone beneath the drawl. ] Welcome back, ma'am.

And sounds like you need a retrieval specialist.

[Pepper's problems appear to be more in the line of a couple days' riding lessons not making you a rider, if the general air of achey discomfort that was threaded all through her body language before the feed switched audio was an indication. She still gives him a quick grin.]

Well, I appreciate your efforts at playing fire warden, then. And I would say that yes, we certainly could. I have Dr. T'soni and another person coming over to take a look at the map and see if they can update it to current landmarks.

I may be able to help with that, if you're talkin' of the surroundin' area. Spent some time out in the wilderness 'fore I met up with your first caravan. [ A slight reminder of how he joined in the the middle of the trip. ]

Certainly. I'll put an extra cup's worth of tea on.

[She dimples a little, possibly at the mental contrast of Eliot and teacup. (Or mug, horribly mismatched and scavenged.)]

Now, I imagine actual assembly of a group will probably fall to people not me -- I'm just facilitating this one. But I'll make sure you're there when I get everyone together to figure out what's being done.
