[It's been some time since Anders arrived, though he's been keeping his head down for a few different reasons, at least a couple of them going by the names of Meredith and Sebastian. Scouting out areas and gathering herbs has kept him busy enough, all things considered, and given him some time to adjust as well. But unfortunately this place, wherever it is, is very different from anything he's used to.
The video clicks on clearly by accident after some time spent fumbling around, Anders unaware that he's broadcasting himself to everyone instead of just using text. He's looking quite a bit more battered than usual, his coat torn in a couple of places by what look like claws, feathers missing, and smudges of blood and grime on his face and neck. He's crouched low behind something, trying to keep still and out of sight while also using the odd device.]
any one konw how to get away frm angry cat w bit teeth
[There's a snarl a little too close by and Anders curses, jumping up and bolting from his hiding place, a blast of ice magic fired awkwardly back at the enraged sabre-tooth behind him. He'd really rather not kill it, but he might not have many other options.]
I gave it back, you blighted beast! Your cub is fine, stop chasing me!

Turn it into a brick. Or turn the teeth into many tiny bricks, if you're feeling clever.
[Inside jokes? He's a terrible little man. And he doesn't even care.]
But that's probably not helpful when you aren't me.
no subject
[Not that he expects an answer right now, since he's not aware it's even recording.]
no subject
It doesn't have to be permanent. I know of an apprentice who did it to himself repeatedly. ...He wasn't very good at magic.
[No one who was really in trouble would stop to argue like this, would they? So he'll go ahead and not wipe himself out with a transport spell just yet.]
The brick thing, I mean. I'm not sure the tooth thing is possible, but I thought it was clever.

[Anders curses as he stumbles on something, then twists sharply to create a wall of ice between himself and the threat before running again.]
You can hear me?

[Action]
Hearing shouting coming from up ahead, echoing through the trees, Meredith drew her blade and moved forward in time to see the shouter casting ice back. Of course. It couldn't have been someone she wanted to help, or even someone who deserved help. It had to be a creature that would just as likely attack her as him, provoked by the apostate.]
You stole its cub.
[There were times she wasn't quite sure how the apostate had lived so long. Now was one of them. She readied her blade as the creature moved forward, risking one befuddled look at the apostate first.]
Do you actually think about things before you do them, or do you simply act and then watch to see how everything explodes?

[Anders half-turns, staggering a step at the sound of the voice. Oh, it's exactly what he needs. The blighted Knight-Commander.]
What are you doing here?!
no subject
[Really, if she booked it out of here, it might just mess with the apostate instead. That was getting more tempting by the minute.]
Stand your ground and focus on it. This is your doing, after all.
no subject
So he stops, turning to face the rampaging creature and also trying to keep an eye on the templar.]
[Text]
Head for the ship. The door will close behind you and you can wait until the cat has lost interest in you.
[Since he's not much use during the daytime in stopping the saber-tooths, might as well do the next best thing.]
[perma-video]
[He'll swing off in the direction he thinks the ship is in. Of course, it's entirely possible he's wrong.]
[Perma-video back]
Veer a bit further to the right, sir. Follow the slope uphill. You should see the hull over the trees momentarily.
[If he's in the area the werewolf thinks he's in, anyhow.]

[Anders veers right, but it puts him out in the open more and the cat snarls as it picks up speed and races after him. He turns to try and make some attempt at slowing it further or defending himself, but a swipe catches his side and sends him spinning with a cry of pain.]
no subject
Make a break for it, just over the hill to your right, and you should see the ship.

I suggest running as fast as you can.

[Actually, the better idea might just be killing the poor thing, but Anders can't help but feel that wouldn't be fair when it's his fault it's after him in the first place.]

video;
Anders! Maker-- are you all right?
video; /makes this later, after the danger is past
[Whether that means no major injuries or if he just healed them himself is up in the air.]
But, if you don't mind me asking... Who are you, exactly?
video;
[Her brows scrunch in confusion.]
It's me...Bethany. Bethany Hawke?
