[Shepard's spent some time poking around the ship before she tries to contact outside, because it's just plain weird to end up on an alien ship out of the blue, even for her.]
This is Commander Shepard of the SSV Normandy, Alliance Navy. I'm requesting any information available on the current status and location of my ship and crew. Last known location was the planet Mars in the Sol System, but something seems to have... gone wrong.
[which is the nicest way she can think of putting it.]
Barring any of that, I'd settle for my own location because even that seems like too much to ask from my hardsuit NAV.

[And since he didn't actually reply for no other reason than to be annoying, he does send along text directions from the ship to the most critical locations - the Flop, the hospital, Edmund's depot.
Not a map, maybe, but it's better than nothing.]
