[Video] Monday

[Waking up from a pod was new. One minute she thought she was flying after the mysterious Yellowjacket and the next she felt like she had been sleeping for a hundred years and coming out of some stasis in a pad. On a ship. On an alien ship. What… did she miss!?]

[Her things were all here at least. Dressed again she pulled her Avengers card out she ran her thumb over it and spoke.]

Um, guys? Am I missing something here? Hello? Tony? Cap? Heck, I’d be happy to hear from Hulk right now, just someone reply.

[She walked slowly through the ship, holding the card close and looking for an exit] It doesn't look like a Kree ship. Doesn't look like anything I've seen before. [and more to herself then anything she whispered:] Oh man, did I get kidnapped again?

[Suddenly she shrank to a smaller size, her wings buzzing behind her and letting her fly, taking off through the halls and searching around, thus the image of the world around her seemed bigger as the card shrinks with her, and she's moving faster. The image not focused on her... As she found the exit she zoomed out, coming to a sudden stop, eyes wide at the world around her]

Oh… I don’t think I’m on Earth anymore…

[He's gotten pretty good at welcoming people lately, but he might have been too tired and busy if it hadn't been for that weird size shift. Maybe nothing, but to someone used to all kinds of strange powers, it's... interesting.]

[So have a sleepy looking teenaged boy with a heavy German accent.]

Nope, not earth. Did you just get out of the pod? Because, um, I hope you're ready for an infodump.

[She was used to her card talking to her.... but only from other Avengers! This guy had a German accent. She blinked, hovering outside and holding the card up to look at it. Was he HYDRA? How did he get one of their cards?!]

[She made a small startled sound, something between a cross of Gah and Um... before finding her voice]

Pod? Yes... something like that. Okay, okay, okay so... it's not Earth. Lay it on me. What's going on and how did you get one of our cards?

Cards? Really? Oh, um, everyone who wakes up in a pod gets some kind of phone or communicator. Mine's definitely not a card, though. I'd show you, but, um...

[In addition to logical contradictions, he's holding it with his tail while he works on the stew for dinner.]

Right. The network's open to everyone. So that's pretty weird now that I think about it, and we haven't even gotten to the crazy stuff yet.

[Her tiny self moved to carefully hover over the edge of the ship, taking a seat and hanging her legs over the side. She could be seen, looking around, clearly creeped out by all this]

I... see. [clearly, she didn't see. Or she did but it was hard to believe... or was it. Okay, it was just weird. Very weird.] So anyone can hear me? They can hear me and you talking?

[Between the incredible shrinking display and the names she cites, it's fairly inevitable that this would catch Tony's attention.

The backdrop to the video feed is dark enough that it's hard to make out details, but the welding mask pushed up on top of his head is a pretty decent indication that he's been recently at work on something.]

That's...different. And incredibly disorienting. Do you make a habit of getting kidnapped by aliens?

[By now she was still... tiny, with her wing sitting still behind her, parched on the edge of the space ship. So far nothing tried to re capture her, so she wasn't straying too far]

[At the video she suddenly smiled largely] Tony! Oh I'm glad to ...see... you. [Okay, the fact that he sounded off might be the device. The fact that he looked a bit older wasn't missed, but his comment about getting kidnapped by aliens? That made her frown]

Hey, that's not funny. I believe you've been Iron-napped more times then I have been Wasp-napped anyhow. [not, true, really. And damn it, Tony was one of the ones that came to help her and Sue out of that mess...] Tony, where are we?

[It's lucky making hospital food in big batches isn't a job that requires a lot of attention.]

Ja, particularly, um, The Authorities. Which is the scariest bad guy name I've heard. They apparently hear everything, and they're the kind of people who attack hospitals and farms, so... Don't say anything you don't want the villains to hear.

[that is an interesting job however... and she's trying to piece together what it is he's doing. She? Sitting around in the dark. He? Something not very HYDRA-y.]

Wait, what? [mild look of outrage now... because...] What kind of people attack hospitals!?

[however, that was good advice, to keep some details to herself. Great... well... this was shipping up to be real weird already and she barely spoke to anyone. Also? it's cold out here...]

[He'll go ahead and not spell out on the open channel that he's also something of an asset for defense.]

Anyway, welcome to not-Earth. There are people here from all kinds of places. Other planets, other worlds... Even the people I do know came from a year behind me. And I don't think anyone knows how we got in those pods.

...And you definitely think you know me. How novel.

[It isn't, really - he's too much a public figure for that - but it's the first time someone he can't recall has claimed acquaintance with him as Iron Man.

He frowns at the screen, brow furrowing slightly as he works through the possibilities. It doesn't take long; there aren't that many.]

We're on a planet called Verdana. The environment isn't hostile, but the wildlife and most of the people are. They're human, incidentally. Most of them.

This is.... this is crazy, you know that? [She took a deep breath and let it out, then shuddered.] Okay, okay, so... not Earth. I can handle this. And out of time lines? Sure, okay. Not unheard of. Jerks attacking hospitals however really is low. Is that normal around here?!

[Yup, these were exactly his responses.]

Ja, pretty much. I guess. I haven't been here that long, but everything I've heard... The Authorities live inside a dome and harass everyone who lives outside is how it works.

[her eyes narrowed a bit in worry over that. This was no time to JOKE, Stark!] Tony... it's me! Jan? You know, helped form the Avengers... together?

[her hand reached up to rub her forehead, suddenly feeling a headache. That other guy said people were out of his timeline. This Tony looked older but... he should -know- her still!] This is insane...

Wait... hostile wildlife? [she sat up more, looking around now, ears open for sounds and dangers.] Great...

That's really messed up. [she said in one more complaint, then frowned deeply at the screen, eyeing him before looking out into the night.]

So there's a city near here, and these jerks just harass the people for no reason? Doesn't anyone, you know, do anything about it?

Ah, not so much when the bad guys have all the scary future weapons and the people who live here mostly have sticks. And also we are on the network...

[He suspects he'll be glad to share ideas with her. She seems cool. But he's not talking about teleporting inside the dome for recon right now.]

seriously? They've got a huge space ship out here! [to which she just shot up into the dark and started to fly, zoom really, over the length of the ship, the video just appearing dark for the most part, form how she held it.] You'd think there was something here to help people protect themselves.

Jeeze, this thing really is huge... [And yes, on the network, so she wasn't talking about the details, right, but still... this was too much. And this stupid card can't even call the Avengers on it! Just everyone else ever]

They seem to have about as much technology as I'm used to. Just not weapons. I'm guessing that gets shut down a lot.

[He's no one to complain about weird camera effects, considering now he's using both hands to chop up root vegetables while his tail handles the communicator rather unsteadily, but he's pretty sure there's something odd going on where she is.]

The ship doesn't work. Or, well, it doesn't fly. It does some other things. I don't know anything about space, really, and I've been once.

[yeah, sorry about the zoom... and the fact that she's turning up a bit to get a birds eye view. Gosh, please don't be any flying creatures out here. She's super tiny right now though, for that reason alone]

I've been to space. A few times. It's pretty incredible, but the size of this ship... well it shouldn't have been anywhere near the plants pull to begin with. This is insane.

[she spun around, trying to take in the view at night as best she could, with out shivering form being cold.] I'm Jan, by the way. Got a name, and somewhere warmer then this, or else I'm going back inside the weird crazy space ship.

You know, I think I would remember meeting the Incredible Shrinking Woman at the briefings.

[He scrubs a hand over his jaw, wincing faintly at the motion. The logical conclusion, given the evidence he's seen since awakening on the ship, is right there - he's just reluctant to take it.]

Okay. You're still at the ship? Sit tight. I'm about fifteen minutes out.

[That gets him a cranky look] It's Wasp. [but then looks... well, more saddened then anything.] But I guess you wouldn't know that.

[She leaned on her knees, frowning at the Avengers card.]

Right. Still at the big old ship. Out in the middle of no where. On Not-Earth. Talking to not-my-Tony. Today can't get any weirder. [First Tony tells her to stand down, it's too soon for her to fight. Then Yellowjacket shows up attacking a group of thugs, ow this...]

Oh, Ja. I'm Kurt. And there's a city outside the dome where there's all the shelter and food that's necessary. New people come out of the pods a lot, so they're ready for us. But you should know that there's something going around kind of like a nasty flu. Steer clear of the hospital and drink lots of fluids.

[He's being helpful!]

[Bruce is just going to stare a little. Or maybe a lot. And awkwardly attempt to say something that doesn't sound stupid.]

...Do you know me?

[Steve is used to people knowing Captain America so that isn't anything too out of the ordinary. Any knowing Tony's name isn't a stretch. But the other guy?]

No, you're not on Earth. Is there... something I can do for you?

[Probably a whole lot, wtg, Steve.]

I must have missed the memo.

[And that actually makes him feel a little bad. Just a little.]

And don't be so sure about that. The talking T-rex might still make an appearance.

[He flips the feed to audio instead, the better to carry it along with him without having to worry about where the camera's angled.]

Fifteen minutes. I'll be right there.

[You know, after a while her feelings are going to start being REALLY hurt here. Though, you know, you don't look as scrawny as you should, Dr. Banner. Shorter hair too. Older. Gah, is this like the Not!-Her-Tony thing again?]

[Best be careful, as she squints in at the image and is trying to look you over better]

At the moment? I'm not sure who I know anymore...
