[There's a series of muffled clicks and thumps as he fiddles with the phone settings for a bit, and then his voice comes through clearer, more decisive.]

This is Hawkeye requesting a situation update on what the hell just happened to my team. And, uh. The entire operation, while we're at it.

Can anybody read me?

[it's a valid question! His answer will tell her if this is HER Hawkeye or the other one that everyone ELSE seems to know. Man this place really sucks...]

Uh. Yeah, I believe it was Operation Sorry, Do I Know You?

[It's not said in a cruel way though, more bafflement than anything. She really doesn't sound familiar enough for him to just give away secrets. But she sure acts like she knows him.]

[There is a sigh and almost a grumble at that. GREAT. Another of her NOT people. Good ears might pick up her grumbling something to the tune of 'great... another one'... same old snark though. Awesome.]

Apparently not. [There is a pause, then a really hopeful tone in her voice] Wasp? Janet? Jan? [another pause...] We've got nothing going here, do we? No bells ringing at all, huh.
