[Compared to the last time he was on the network, Pietro looks like a million bucks. A skinny, pale million bucks, maybe, but he's much less sickly. And it even looks like he's trimmed his hair at some point. Just like Quicksilver to prioritize style when he's recovering from near-death.

His expression, however, is flat, cold, and carefully dispassionate. And the background is definitely inside the ship.]

I don't know if anyone's left who actually cares, but Erik's gone. Or asleep, or whatever. He's in a pod, anyway.

Und why should anyone be in charge? There are only four of us. If we needed a field leader I guess you've got more experience than me or Toad, though I don't know about Hope. But I think we can handle everyday situations as an unruly mob, ja?

So what's the point, if it's not a mission? Just sounds like a way to make us all annoyed with you faster than usual.

[He understands why you need someone in charge in combat. Otherwise it'd be chaos. But democracy for four doesn't sound hard to sustain.]

So that when there is a crisis, everyone will shut up and listen, instead of fighting over who's the boss.

[Kurt's just spoiled, since he has the teachers to be in charge. Or Scott, worse comes to worse. It wasn't like everyone didn't know that he and Jean were the next rank down, if the grown-ups weren't there to give orders.]

[Spoiled and of a naturally egalitarian bent, at least when it comes to peers. He's actually quite respectful of adult authority, for all his screwing around.]

I think what you do then is fight over what to do. Which is how you find the good ideas, ja?

[If Pietro's view on Kurt is any different, he's doing a good job at hiding it. But then, he's always been sneaky like that.]
