[Compared to the last time he was on the network, Pietro looks like a million bucks. A skinny, pale million bucks, maybe, but he's much less sickly. And it even looks like he's trimmed his hair at some point. Just like Quicksilver to prioritize style when he's recovering from near-death.

His expression, however, is flat, cold, and carefully dispassionate. And the background is definitely inside the ship.]

I don't know if anyone's left who actually cares, but Erik's gone. Or asleep, or whatever. He's in a pod, anyway.

[He knocks on the pod he's standing next to.]

He ditched us. Can't say I'm surprised.

[There's a pause, and when Todd finally replies, it's actually sounding worried. He really kind of likes Jocelyn, after all. She'd fixed his head, told him he was kind of awesome, and was nice to him.]

Um. Can you check at her house? Jocelyn's house? It's down by the lake... hard t'miss, it's the only one there. If she's not around the hospital, she oughta be there, right?

[He's struck by how unfair it is that every adult role model Todd ever meets ditches him. Why it's more unfair when it happens to Todd than any of the other Brotherhood boys. Maybe it's because the little guy always goes and gets his hopes up.]

[It takes closer to a couple minutes, but Pietro does come back.]

Bad news. Nobody's home, and it doesn't look like anyone has been for a while. Sorry.

[Todd spent those few minutes holding his phone and kind of ignoring everyone else. When Pietro comes back with the results, he's a little surprised, himself, just how bad that makes him feel. So he tries to shrug it off.]

I don't think advice is gonna get us very far, bro. We're a little far away, and all that.

Well it's too much trouble to come find you, so you'll just have to make due.

[Not really. But Pietro knows he can't contaminate the quarantine group. That'd be worse than most things Todd would run into out there, probably.]

You could probably get here in, like, ten minutes or somethin'. Took us two days of trekkin' through these mountains.

Ten minutes? Man, you know what I could get done in ten minutes? No way, you've just got to deal with the fact that I'm not there to hold your hand.

Aw, Toddy, I didn't know you wanted me holding your hand. Did I hurt your feelings?

[For a beat he's confused, and then he gets it, and he's glad this is audio, because he's flushing embarrassedly.]

What? You-- oh geez. No. Shut up!

[From the sounds of it, Pietro's trying very hard not to laugh.]

Think you'll be okay on your own now?

I'll be fine.

[Sulk.

Pause.]

[That one's less sulky.]

[He pauses, looking around on his end, and realizes the rest of the group has gone on and left him behind.]

I'll, uh, talk to you later, okay? I think I need to catch up to everybody else.

[And he hangs up, and bounds off to catch up. At least the guy's feeling better. And was almost nice. Todd can live with that, and maybe he won't have to worry any more.]
