Wanda is hardly happy to find herself naked in a pod. She’s even less happy that this is the second time in six weeks she’s found herself in an alien environment without prior warning.]

[She’s dressed now, though, and she’s got her communicator on. She’s not exactly smiling, but she looks much further from smashing everything in sight than she feels]

This is getting ridiculous. I’m the Scarlet Witch. Does that mean anything to anybody? [That echoes in her ears for a few seconds before she realizes how stuck up it sounds.] That’s not what I meant. [deep breath]

What I mean is: My name is Wanda Maximoff. I’m a mutant. From Genosha. [She takes another look around her surroundings.] Which is a country on Earth. I… [Wanda does not have much experience socializing outside an island nation ruled by her father, and her discomfort as she tries to figure out what a proper greeting sounds like is obvious.] Who else was abducted by aliens? [It’s a start]

Genosha? I've never even heard of a country by that name.

[She looks a little skeptical, though that might just be due to the initial greeting.]

What year are you from?

[Wanda does not like hearing that. She fumes a bit pondering what that might imply before responding.] Two thousand and eight.

Huh. So much for that theory.

[She shakes her head, as though dismissing something.]

Ashley Williams. From, uh, 2183. I don't think anyone who's woken up on the ship comes from more than a few years beyond that, but that doesn't mean much.

Even if there was a war, and the humans won [there's a derisive quality to that clause] there should have been a historical record.

[She blinks as the impact of that settles in.] A hundred and seventy five years... there's not going to be any going home, is there?
