Wanda is hardly happy to find herself naked in a pod. She’s even less happy that this is the second time in six weeks she’s found herself in an alien environment without prior warning.]

[She’s dressed now, though, and she’s got her communicator on. She’s not exactly smiling, but she looks much further from smashing everything in sight than she feels]

This is getting ridiculous. I’m the Scarlet Witch. Does that mean anything to anybody? [That echoes in her ears for a few seconds before she realizes how stuck up it sounds.] That’s not what I meant. [deep breath]

What I mean is: My name is Wanda Maximoff. I’m a mutant. From Genosha. [She takes another look around her surroundings.] Which is a country on Earth. I… [Wanda does not have much experience socializing outside an island nation ruled by her father, and her discomfort as she tries to figure out what a proper greeting sounds like is obvious.] Who else was abducted by aliens? [It’s a start]

[Aaaah, a mage name. That made sense. Briar nods to himself. Why she'd closed off though, he didn't know. Why mention her magic if she didn't want to talk about it?]

Briar Moss. No titles for me, though. Never really saw the point of getting a mage name when I already had a name like mine. [Briar grins]

Briar Moss. You're a sorcerer, I suppose. [Wanda's expression lightens a little. Briar seems too goofy to be much of a threat.] Mutant means that my powers are genetic rather than mystical in origin.

Mage.. [he scoffs] Only people I've ever met who call themselves sorcerers were much too puffed up with their own self-importance.

[He looks confused at her explanation, though] I don't understand. Doesn't magic run in families, sometimes? And I wouldn't really call it mystical...

Mage. Of course. I haven't met any sorcerers personally, but my father's intel on the Sorcerer Supreme says he's much the same. As you'd expect from a man calling himself that.

[she rubs her index finger and pinky against her temple] Sometimes it does, yes. But that's because magic is about mindset, and sometimes families will share similar mindsets. [Not hers, so much] Sometimes.

Sorcerer Supreme? Some silly bleater actually decided to call himself that?

[Briar frowns. This isn't matching up] That's not how magic works. Leastaways, not magic in my world. Mindset's about controlling your magic, not whether you have it in the first place. [He sighs, and grumbles under his breath about how magic is 'all funny' in other worlds. Along with everything else, from what he's seen so far]
