[The video starts focused on the space a few inches above Usagi's head, showing the obviously alien decor of one of the pod rooms on the ship. Someone is not quite sure how to aim the camera on her cool new communicator at the moment, but she corrects the angle a bit ham-handedly as she starts to talk. Usagi looks tired, and nervous, and she's speaking Japanese.]

Everybody? Are you getting this? I'm-- I think I'm some place pretty weird.

[She glances around. Yeah. Weird is an understatement. She lowers her arm a little, showing a wider angle: Usagi is seated, slouched, on the floor near where she emerged from her pod, with her transformation compact in her lap. She's got that 'about to cry' trembly face going on.]

And just--just when we were all back together again. Is this some kind of enemy? Could I just be having a nightmare instead?

What language is that? I don't...

[She switches to English. Or, at least, she tries, shaking her head.]

I don't... ah, uh, not English. Hello?

Coulda sworn these had a translator of some sort...

[Of course, explaining how to turn that on to someone who doesn't actually speak much English might be... tricky.]

I'm... Uuugh, [Usagi really can't with the English words in her current state. Not that she's got a lot of English otherwise, really. She continues haltingly.]

[That's one of those canned phrases that Usagi has memorized from English class, and it comes out so automatically, like it's all one word: nicetomeetyou!]

[Usagi is still sitting on the floor of the pod room she woke up in - because this place is creepy and it's just as easy NOT to go looking for disasters, right? When she hears a noise, her head perks up, and she speaks first in Japanese, and then in heavily-accented English.]

Hello? ... Hello?

[Kaylee gives a cheerful wave. Waking up here is bad enough when you speak the most common language, this has to be a million times worse.]

[She taps her communicator]

[Although Usagi's is pastel. And a watch. Look, she got one that looks like her communicator, just with more buttons and a cute little screen.]

[Because it's rude to touch someone else's completely adorable technology without permission]

[She just nods and passes the communicator over. It is, in fact, ridiculously cure.]

[Kaylee's generally pretty handy with anything of the technological nature, and it doesn't take long to find the translator settings]
