[tiptoeing]

[Bruce is sitting at the table in his house, which looks like this, and making himself a list of things he needs to do in the next few days. His glasses don't do much to hide the fact that he hasn't slept in a couple of weeks, save for a few times his body forced him to nap.]

For those who haven't met me, I'm Dr. Bruce Banner. Before the plague hit, I was working with a team of scientists to figure out how the pods functioned. Now I'd like to focus on increasing the ship's power supply, but I'm not sure who is still around to help, or if anyone else is interested.

I would also like to know if anyone would be interested in attending lectures on various topics relevant to some of the problems that we face here. Things like basic engineering, first aid, hydroponic gardening, chemical analysis, and really anything else you can think of that would be useful. The lectures would be aimed at those who haven't had much previous education in these areas.

I don't have a location or specific times planned out yet, I'm just gauging the level of interest at the moment.

[This part is delivered far more awkwardly.] I need to go away for a few days. Up in the mountains, I think, where I won't be able to hurt anyone. Company is probably a bad idea, but I thought you all should know where I'm going, at least.

[It's sharp, but there's something of honest concern and a little self-directed frustration in Bones' expression to temper the tone somewhat.]

Forgive me if I'm suspicious about your ability to judge 'fine' in the wake of that. But... I suppose I can't stop you. This is why you're lucky to be a PhD not an MD, you know. Nobody ever listens to MDs.

[he sighs at that] Honestly, it doesn't take too much out of me in a physical way. Mentally...it's like a nightmare, and the disorientation and fragmented memories I mentioned before aren't fun. But none of it is really something that can be fixed.

[Because clearly there's anything Bones can do to stop him anyway.]

Just don't make me regret not coming along.

I do. I need to know if that part of me is still...there. [Among other reasons.]

And you coming along would just be a really bad idea.

Yeah, I can imagine that.

Well... call and check in from the other side as soon as you're able. I'd like to keep trying to fight this losing battle over you looking after yourself, at least.
