[The video is turned on but, should you be someone who does not believe in Jack Frost, the video shows nothing except the scenery. The camera doesn't really seem to move. Unless, of course, one knows and believes in the entity holding the camera!

However, should you be a believer in Jack Frost, you will see a boy about eighteen with a very pale face, bright blue eyes, and white hair. He's crouched somewhere, staring intently into the phone with such a desperately hopeful look on his face. After about a minute of nothing (or staring), text finally appears.]

Can anyone see me? I've been here for a few hours now, please tell me someone can see!

[There's another pause.]

Fine. Can anyone at least answer this? I'm looking for a couple people and they're pretty hard to miss. There's North, though you guys would may know his as ol' St. Nick, aka Santa. There's Tooth, definitely can't miss her. She's got feathers all over with fairy wings, aka the Tooth Fairy. Sandman is a little guy, but he generally floats around on a sand cloud and then there's the Easter Bunny. Over six feet tall, carries some boomerangs and egg bombs, complete with an Australian accent. If you've seen them or if any of you guys are reading this, let me know!




Please. Tell me if you see me. I gotta know.

[Kurt debates and decides both to keep his image inducer on and to walk there. It isn't very far, and keeping the teleporting to a minimum is just a good idea with the Authorities around.]

[He comes up the road, looking for anyone who might be... Jack Frost, apparently. Heh. Everything is weird all the time.]

[Action]

[He waited for Kurt on his staff, just like he always did when simply waiting or observing. Though there was definitely gonna have to be some time when he explores the rooftops and whatnot to walk around.

When he saw a teenager with dark hair, he grinned a little and, not entirely sure if he would get a response or not when calling out to him, he sent a chilly wind down the way. He was known for nipping at noses for nothing!]

[Action forever]

[Kurt was less susceptible to chills than most, but he caught the sudden shift in temperature. He didn't know these mountains well enough to be sure that was unusual, but he suspected. He was coming to meet Jack Frost, supposedly.]

...My life is so weird.

[frostedoverland]

[Hm. Still nothing.]

C'mon...

[Ah, well, snowballs were always fun! Jumping off his staff, he reached down to gather a bit of the snow that had fallen and formed it into a ball. Then, he blew a little magic onto it before launching it. If nothing else, Kurt would feel rather cheery if he's hit in the face.]

Oh, it's on.

[Snowballs are a specialty of his, and upping Kurt's already boundless enthusiasm for life resulted in a slightly manic grin. With reflexes honed by deadly-serious combat (which he tended to also laugh his way through), he ducked into a crouch that let him snatch up two handfuls of snow and launch himself into the nearest tree, where he caught a branch with his feet and latched on with his tail. He dropped his weight entirely so he was hanging just by the tail, now very oddly visible due to the inadequacies of the image inducer.]

[One of the better entrances into a snowball fight, but he didn't stop there. Caught up in the spirit of the thing, he didn't hesitate a moment for disbelief when he spotted a boy who looked a few years younger than he was, the obvious perpetrator. He launched one snowball with surprising accuracy for someone hanging upside down and immediately began to pack the second more solidly for his next attack.]

[frostedoverland]

[He grins when Kurt immediately reacts and he doesn't really back an eye at how in the world he gets up on that tree. With a sweep of his staff, more ammo is made at his feet before he's diving out of the way, laughing as he scoops up another snowball. He throws it, still running.]

[thefuzzyguy]

[The second snowball is a miss, but he's still in the game. Kurt drops out of the tree onto all fours for more ammunition, scooping with both hands and his tail this time. His attempt to throw a snowball with just his tail mostly just falls apart, but it provides enough of a smokescreen to pack the two handfuls of snow together into a big one that he pitches with a wicked grin.]

[When Kurt moves freely, his image inducer often can't keep up, and this is one of those times. There are a few funny flickers, quite aside from the blue tail.]

[frostedoverland]

[Jack grunts when he's smacked with the snowball, falling over and laughing. He sees the flickering image and only grins. Another fuzzy person! Haha, if Bunny was here, they'd be good friends. He gets up to chase after him, calling on the wind for a little boost.]

You didn't tell me you had a tail!

[thefuzzyguy]

That's really just the tip of the iceberg, mein freund.

[Figuring there's no one around to see and he's already got his tail out, he pauses to switch off the image inducer. He's pretty sure Jack Frost won't mind fluffy elves.]

[Then, for good measure, he ducks down for more snow and takes another shot at his adversary.]

[That was not an elf he had ever seen before. Considering who he's used to seeing. Still, he's not deterred at all and he follows along, trying to get at Kurt who ducked down. He chucks another snowball at him.]

Tail or no tail, you can't beat the spirit of Winter!

[thefuzzyguy]

Nein, but even making a showing counts with those odds.

[The snowball hit him square in the chest, but he took the opportunity to make the hit dramatic, flipping backward and then scrambling up another tree.]

Fur is a great insulator!

[He stuck out his tongue, just to make it clear how mature he was.]

[Jack laughed loudly, the wind keeping him in the air now.]

Fur totally has nothing to do with a good snowball fight, man.

Improves my staying power, though! Snowball fights at school usually come down to me and Iceman.

[Ah, good times. Driving Kitty and Rogue crazy, mostly, but good times.]

[Jack places his staff down and he crouches on the crook, resting his arms on his knees loosely.]

You stayed at a school with someone named Iceman? Was he made of ice?

[thefuzzyguy]

Only when he wanted to be. Controlling ice is his power. Being an awesome blue monkey und teleporting is mine.

[Since it's apparently no longer snowball fight time, or at least they're in a lull, Kurt sits down and settles on the tree branch comfortably. He did, after all, come up here to be helpful, not to throw snow at people. Boring.]

[They'll continue later. As much fun as it is, Jack was still rather clueless as to what was going on. Yeah, he loved waking up in a pod in a ship on an alien planet... not.]

He could control ice? Is he a spirit too? Teleporting seems like a cool power, especially when it comes with being fuzzy and blue and you get that awesome tail!

[What? He's seen all sort of beings.]

[Kurt's self-conscious about his looks, but he is proud of the tail. It's so useful!]

Nein, we're all human. Just with a little extra. Mutants. There're a couple others around, though not Bobby. Iceman. We have code names. Anyway, I was going to give you the basic rundown, right?

[And then a snowball fight happened.]

Code names are pretty cool. [But why? He shrugged in the end. Right, the run down. Snowball fight will happen later.] Right. So what's up with the place?

[thefuzzyguy]

Well, the planet is called Verdana, und the pod you woke up in is on a ship that definitely doesn't fly anywhere, and people from all kinds of worlds and times have been waking up there, too. Maybe we're supposed to be helping the people here? But it's pretty confusing.

[It was hard to chop into readily digestible pieces. He did his best to be clear, but the whole thing was so weird.]

[Huh. So somehow he got onto a ship that now doesn't work and it had all sorts of people on it that are now waking up here.]

Yeah, except one section of the place is totally sealed off. Why are they even in the dome anyway?

[thefuzzyguy]

I guess they can't really live out here. Their immune systems are compromised or something? I was in there, but just for a few seconds. It didn't seem that different. Anyway, those guys are bad news. The attack the people who live out here whenever they want.

[frostedoverland]

Why? It's not like we're attacking the place or anything.

[He frowns. That's really lame, how could people just start attacking others with no just reason? Sure, he hadn't been here long but everyone seemed to be going by their day to day lives.]

[thefuzzyguy]

Ja, I'm not totally clear? Either they think the people out here are a threat or... They could just be enormous jerks. That could happen.

[He didn't want to venture too deeply into psychologically analyzing the crazy police state.]

They remind me a little of mutant-bashers back home. At least they don't have hovercrafts yet.

Uh, there's a reason the kids with weird powers need our own school. The rest of the population tends to think we're dangerous or evil or both.

[He wished he didn't have to explain this so often. It was just depressing.]
