Video

[Before the image comes on, a few words can be heard]

Oh, the commlinks here have visual, that's a step up.

[And then the video kicks in showing a man wearing an extremely garish orange flightsuit, made even more offensive to the eye by the addition of an extremely colourful cloak over top. The colours seem to be shifting.]

Okay, so woke up here naked. That's a new one. I'm going to take a wild guess and say this is another case of interdimensional strangeness.

[Or downloading completely wrong?]

How am I doing so far? I could use a sitrep.

[She grimaces slightly.]

They sound like real charmers.

Depends on your perspective. They have anti-grav, but their personal shielding and weapons tech is way behind the curve compared to what I'm used to. My guess'd be mid-21st Century tech as a baseline, with a few areas jumped way ahead of the curve.

That one's complicated. From what we know of the history, they're post-spaceflight - they're just also post-apocalyptic.

I don't think that's local. Story is that it crashed here about a century ago.

That's the understatement of the year.

You can get the full story in town - or at least, as much of it as anyone's been able to piece together. Whatever crashed the ship seems to've killed anyone who was actually awake, so they're not exactly around to explain themselves.
