[hypospraying]

[After finding her clothes and things, Christine is tiptoeing through the ship, expecting an enemy around every corner. But when she comes to the hatch that leads out, she feels a rush of relief. Slipping outside, she takes in her surroundings, and then tries the communicator in her hand -- one that looks so much like one from the Enterprise that she assumes she can reach her ship.]

Chapel to Enterprise. I'm at an unknown location. I was captured and placed in some sort of stasis pod. Requesting you beam me up immediately.

[She waits, and nothing happens. Nor is there any response from the transporter team. Uh oh.]

Enterprise, come in?

[More silence. Sighing, she begins to move away from the crashed ship, wondering if there's something about it that's blocking her signal. She looks curiously at the domed city in the distance, and the landscape surrounding her. Then she speaks to herself.]

Where am I?

No, people get confused on that front a lot with me. When I'm joking it tends to involve the words "Yub yub".

...Right. So, dinosaurs. Are we talking large dinosaurs, or only smaller kinds?

I haven't heard about anything exceedingly large, but still big enough and carniverous enough to be trouble.

Great. Am I in danger walking from the ship to the city?

[kettchmeifyoucan]

No, it's pretty settled that far. I can give you an escort if you want one.

[Okay maybe he misses having problems he can shoot]

Umm...

[She hesitates. Others keep asking her this too, so she's wondering if there are really things she has to fear out there.]

If it's not too much trouble.

No trouble at all. I get stir crazy without something to do for too long.

[hypospraying]

I take it there's not a lot to do around this place?

[kettchmeifyoucan]

Well, that depends on whether your standard of "busy" is "a warzone".

[There's some motion from the fact that he is now moving as he speaks]

It can be. I served aboard a military vessel. But if that's the case, I'd take being bored here over excited any day.

I'm sure at some point I'll find something to do here.

Sure you will. Everybody just needs the opportunity to find their place.

I've heard rumours of hovercraft. Maybe I'll actually get off the ground here.

[hypospraying]

Oo, going with titles, are we? Okay. Lieutenant Christine Chapel, Head Nurse of the USS Enterprise.

Nurse? Well, you'll certainly have no problem finding a place in the community.

So I've heard. But it's good that I can come into this situation and be useful from the start.
