[After she'd gotten herself out of that stasis pod and dressed, holstered, and strapped up, Kerra Holt took a moment to have a look around. This was definitely not where she'd intended to wind up when she'd made that last jump. Hell, where was this? And...what freak had shoved her into a tube naked?

Of course, when Kerra found the commlink, she was definitely going to poke at it. And set off the video thing accidentally.]

Oh. OH! Hey. Video? That's...different.

[Not Sith-tech, unless it was from Calimondra. No way any of the others had that sort of thing. Or Republic make? Or...the Hutts. Either way, it was broadcasting.

Kriff. Broadcasting. That wasn't good. People could see her face. Well...time to put on a smile and ask some questions then, Kerra.]

Right. So. If you can hear this...I guess I'm the new girl around here. And I've obviously got a few questions for anyone with the inclination to answer. Starting with where the hell am I? What system? What Quadrant, even. I don't even know if I'm in the Core Worlds or out on the Outer Rim. Last I knew I was making a Hyperspace jump and now I'm here.

[And just to be safe...but polite at the same time, may as well give the other name.]

Wanda sounds less grandiose, hope you don't mind.

But...why do you get called that?

My powers. They're not actual magic, but they do the same basic things.

[She sounds skeptical]

How do you mean?

Telekinesis, explosive blasts, a number of other things.

[Sounds...like the Dark Side to Kerra, who's now eyeing Wanda a bit suspiciously]

And...if they aren't magic, where do they come from?

[Wanda counters with what is technically a smile, but still manages to look mostly annoyed.] Genetics. My body emits a certain kind of energy which, when controlled, can accomplish those things.

[Kerra breathes out a sigh she didn't know she was holding.]

A...non-human? Or, human mutant? Not...trying to pry, but there are things...well...people...who do things like that through unnatural means where I'm from.

Human mutant. [Wanda nods at that. Not bad for a first guess.] I assure you, my powers are fully natural in origin. None of whatever dark sorceries and blood magicks you're worried about.

Nothing like that. I take it the Force means nothing to you?

Actually, I'd say it means too many things to me.

You'd be the first person I've met here to say that then.

What's it to you?

I can think of at least three different organizations that might be going by that name. [Wanda looks to Kerra briefly, trying to size up her reaction.] Who are they?

[Kerra huffs out a soft laugh]

Not an organization. The Force. Energy given off by life. The thing that binds us together, as living things.

[Well that wasn't quite was she was expecting.] Life energy. [A concept she's familiar with from her brief studies in magic.]

Something like that. It's complicated. But that's the gist of it.

[nod] And how does this Force relate to your concerns?

If you've not heard of it, then it isn't. If you had, I'd have had more questions, mostly about how you view it. But if you don't know it, then words like Sith and Jedi probably won't mean a whole lot.

I've never heard of those, no. I know of a few people who can control life energy, but I don't know too much about it.

Just as well.

[Kerra shrugs]

What sort of...fighting back...did you have in mind?

Right now it's about weapons. They have us seriously outgunned, and their defensive capabilities are impressive.

What do they use? And...what do we have to work with?

[Awake less than an hour, and already planning armed rebellion. Kerra Holt...what is wrong with you?]

[What's wrong with her is she's awesome and Wanda's new best friend.] Laser weaponry, explosives and aircraft. We've captured one of their ships and a few other pieces of weaponry, but we could always use more to study.

What we have is just what we came here with. And some basic firearms and close range weapons. A lot of us have abilities. Right now that's our greatest military asset.

And...supplies?

[Already trying to work out how to deal with that. Her blaster was good enough to bring down aircraft, and lasers were little deterrent to a Jedi. But.]

Something this journey is trying to help with. [Wanda smiles thinly.] Right now you might be in a better position to see what's there than I am.
