[ She puts her hands together in prayer with the phone between her hands. ] Prince Thor, wherever you may be upon the sea, Princess Sigyn requests to speak with you at once!

Loki Odinson is enemy. A powerful, dangerous sorcerer who has killed before. The Loki -- the Other -- of Verdana is related by slight appearance and perhaps background. He is, however, significantly younger than the Loki we know of.

[Evil sorcerers that kill your friends are serious business. Mulan can totally appreciate this.]

How can that be? Is he a younger version of the same Loki?

It could be a trick. But if not, it seems a most unfortunate coincidence then for this Loki. How many here know of this sorcerer and were wronged by him, that might seek to harm this other in his stead?

I have already used sensory magic upon him, and there were no illusions to detect.

Ran frightened from the ship. Is correctly outside the ship. Be wary when approaching him. He is ink-haired, with a straight nose, and cheekbones that make the most rude scowl.

Will he be all right out there by himself? It might be dangerous for him, if he's approached by some of the beasts in the wilderness, or another mistaken attacker seeking vengeance.

I am unsure. [ She feels guilty, because she caused his frantic state. ] This is why I made this call as quickly as I could.

I'm not close to the ship, but I am outside the city. I could probably be there soon if I could do anything to help.

I am Mulan, by the way. I do not believe we have yet met.

It is best to let him panic 'till he is ready to seek answers to his numerous questions.

[ Her eyes light up and her moth drops. ] Mulan? The warrior?

I've no doubt. My question though is would it be better to let him panic out in the wild where there are dangers, or to bring him back to civilization where he can panic in relative safety and security?

Fa Mulan. And yes, I am a warrior. You've heard of me?

I ...I am ashamed to say I do not know. I cannot go after him -- he thinks he mad.

[ She nods enthusiastically. ] Fa Mulan -- so it is true. A warrior of Midgard who defied her culture's stance on women warriors and defended her people!

Probably can't say I really blame him. But it isn't safe. I think I'll at least go have a look for myself and see if I can find him. If he doesn't want to come back to the city with me, no harm done. [Though she's not above tying him up and dragging him back with her, if she has to.

And as for the recognition...she's a little taken aback by that.]

[ She lights up, arms up and waving excitedly. ] My elder sister, Var, is absolutely enamored with your heroics! When I was knee-high, she would dress me as your enemy and chase me about the practice fields with her spear!

It's no trouble. [And she has to smile, at that story.] Always happy to help out a fellow warrior. If I had known I would be the source of such encouragement, I might have taken more heart.

Aye, aye! She has told her fellow training warriors the tale as well. A reminder to the Vanir warriors that any person may be courageous and strong, such as Fa Mulan for her China.

[Where Mulan comes from, they don't refer to her homeland as 'China'...but, when they were with Emma and Snow there was enough time to mention some versions of their tales had crossed the barrier between worlds as stories. Really, it's too small a thing to quibble ever.]
