[Video] | Tuesday afternoon
[Hey, look who's found his way onto the network again! Finally! Thor is smiling cheerily, and maybe a little bit like he's going stir-crazy, at the camera on his phone. He's also not in his armor, but a rather nice blue tunic with some gold embellishments. Somebody did some shopping while across the ocean.]
At last, we are again in range! Hello, my friends in the Old City! It is Thor Odinson, and we are on our return trip. Apparently we will be arriving at the end of the week, but we are not to speak of that until we strike land again.
[And Thor, while a bit of an airhead, is still trying to abide by the rules.]
Have we missed anything of import? Is everyone still well? Please, regale me!
[And keep him from being bored. Please.]

[voice]
But you just managed it, Thor. Be proud of this moment.]
Gods below, how can you say that? Loki leads the army of the dead! It's his children that bring about so much of the destruction. You, yourself, are fated to fall to Jormungandr! Fenris eats Odin! And Hel is the one who builds the army Loki leads.
[Okay talking about this might just have Atticus a little freaked out, the reminders of how much destruction is coming their way, especially knowing exactly when it's going to happen and that all the gods who were fated to slay the monsters that would rise up to destroy the world were dead, many by his own hand, was even more unsettling.]
[Voice]
My friend, I am sorry, but Loki has no children. He would have to at least have a woman for that, and he has been rather unconcerned with romance as of late.
[He offers the best explanation he has:]
You and I obviously come from places where the stories of Ragnarok and my people are very different. Why, there are mortals here on this very voyage whose history does not tell of the great attack on Midgard's New York City that was so recent a battle for me, so for them, it did not happen. Perhaps this is something like?
[Though now he's really worried what this fellow will do if he meets his brother. If it is possible that this Loki isn't the one who wants to kill him, the last thing he wants is for someone else to attack him.]
[Voice]
Okay I've gotta know who Hel, Jormungandr, and Fenris belong to in your world if not Loki. And you say Sigyn is not his wife, nor is Angrboda? So let me guess... you don't know who Nari and Vali are either?
[He has a careless moment of frustration to throw caution aside and the next thing he says is in Old Norse.]
Do you even recognize the language of your people?
[Not trying to be rude, Thor, just trying to figure out what you do and don't know. He'll get back to that bit about aliens in New York in a minute, Bones mentioned that in conjunction with some guy named Stark but... he's still caught up on this mythology thing for now.]
[Voice]
I recognize it, but those who spoke it are not my people. I am of Asgard, not Midgard. It is another world than theirs. Another planet?
[Maybe this strange, angry fellow will understand alien planets more than he does "realms"?]
As for Sigyn, I do not know that she would be pleased to hear someone would have her married, much less to Asgardian, given how loudly she protested to even my overtures of friendship when I spoke with her. I am unfamiliar with Angrboda, and I have never heard the names Nari and Vali with regards to Loki or anyone of import.
[Voice]
Right so all the mythology I know is just… out the window. Got it. And I know Asgard is another plane bu- wait did you say planet? Wha-
[ Nope. Not going there.
Topic change before his brain breaks anymore. Yup.]
So you know Tony Stark?
[Voice]
Indeed! We have fought together in the attack against New York City. And once we committed some rather large deforestation in a mistaken battle against each other, but I hold no grudge. Do you know him, as well, then?
[Voice]
and Joss Whedonnot for actual comic things, he knows of that Thor but he doesn't actually know his history or anything!Deforestation!?
Keep digging, Thor. Just keep digging.]
Nope but someone else mentioned him. I'm from the same time period but.. New York is still in one piece as far as I know.
[A pause. He shouldn't say anything, he really shouldn't... but the Druid can't stop himself. Why do you say these things, Thor?]
Deforestation?
[Voice]
Ah, well, it was a bit of an accident. I came to retrieve my brother, and he had already tried to apprehend him, and we did not realize we both had similar goals. Between the lightning and his power blasts, we were a bit distructive. It did not really cause too much damage until I tried to smash Mjolnir on Rogers' shield. It is an impressive metal, my friend, and the concussion knocked us all back and ruined quite a few trees.
[And at that? He sounds impressed. Sorry, Atticus. Thor is more interested in cool weapons and armor than he is in trees.]
[Voice]
Power blasts? Just who the Hel is this Stark guy?
[Look, he's even managed not to ask more about Loki! That's impressive for him.]
Re: [Voice]
[A genius playboy philanthropist, to be precise, but Thor doesn't really use any of those words in casual conversation. Still, there is amiability there.]
We fought together in New York City, being the only two among the defenders who could fly.
[Voice]
So... you guys are all... some kind of super heroes?
[Oh boy.]
[Voice]
[Thor is unaware of the connotation of "super hero", or he might have said something different. As it is, he knows "super" is good and "hero" is someone who saves people, so it fits just fine.]
[Voice]
[Which meant Thor didn't really know what he was agreeing to. But anyone that has a title like "Iron Man" had to be either a super hero or some kind of rockstar... or maybe a pro-wrestler?]
[Voice]
[There's an obvious shrug in his voice, but a hopeful smile, too.]
With any luck we will be back at the city in short order. Perhaps we can speak in person then?
[And clear up any lingering misunderstandings...? Really, Thor isn't interested in making enemies here.]
[Voice]
[And immediately be going the opposite direction, sorry Thor. He's not keen on making enemies either and that... is a very likely outcome if he talks to you much more.]
[Voice]
Until then, then! Farewell, friend.
[And that's that.]
