[Using the public network for trivial things? Psh! Does it seem like Luke cares at the moment?]

((This is assuming that he told a few people about his plans ahead of time which I didn't bother to thread out because I wanted to keep it a surprise to a certain Kaylee-mun. :P))

[Well, Luke wouldn't go so far as to say that but he sounds grateful for the congratulations anyway.]

I hope it'll bring a positive light, anyway. This place could use a little more happiness.

It definitely could. It sounds like our conjunx endura. How do you celebrate the marrying?

Well, where I come from there's usually a ceremony with a party afterwards. Most people invite their friends and family but some prefer small, intimate weddings.

And depending on what planet you're from there are different traditions that you might observe, like fighting a krayt dragon which is popular on my home planet. I-.. doubt I'll be partaking in that one, though.

Knowing Kaylee she'll want to invite everyone in the city and serve every kind of food and wear the biggest, froofiest dress she can find. It'll be fun either way.

[Luke's smile looks cheerful but a bit resigned, as if he'd be happy with one of those small, intimate ceremonies but knows that probably won't happen and isn't too upset about that.]

This sounds wonderful. All of it. And perhaps we could start our own traditions here.

I met Mulan and she let me share in her memorial altar.

I agree, I don't think I'd want to fight anything that I didn't have to. My order prefers to keep the peace whenever possible so fighting for entertainment is right out.

I'll ask around and see if anyone can offer some interesting traditions from their home lands. Do you know where I can find this Mulan?
