[The rain has been somewhat limiting Kaylee's activities. While it's not an issue on the ship, it's put a damper on any attempts to go scavenging to work on the apartment/workshop project. But she's quite content to distract herself with other matters. Which is why her smiling face is appearing on the communicator.]

So I reckon a lot of you already know [She giggles at the memory of the commotion by the tanks. And of course Luke hasn't been quiet about it either] but me 'n Luke are gettin' married. So... lotta things to figure out.

Like findin' someone who can perform a ceremony. [Two people from different worlds meeting in a third and marrying in a fourth... she probably shouldn't worry overmuch on the specifics there] And findin' a dress! [She's excited for that one] Anyone know about flowers here? Gotta be just about spring, right?

Can probably get some wine ready in time, at least...

[Really he's got a dozen other things that he's trying to figure out and handle right now but there's something about some good in all this chaos that he can't help answering, even if his paranoia keeps him from showing his face just yet. He's too careful to imply what he's about to in this conversation without at least some measure of protection and he is careful to adapt his manners of speech to match hers rather than his native Irish or the learned drawl of American Southwest.]

What kinda ceremony are you lookin to have? There's lotsa different ones.

Bit of a mix. We blended American and Chinese traditions on the border worlds, and wouldn't be right to no have some from Luke's planet too.

Chinese huh? That's interesting. So there's no particular faiths you're wanting to use? Just something more culturally appropriate if I get your meaning.

Just culture. Things're a bit looser on the border worlds, and we come from such different places anyway.

Understandable, it's always interesting to see how people blend varied traditions too. But if there's no religious component then you could have just about anyone officiate the ceremony, couldn't you?

Mayfield was the sorta place ya wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. Don't know how we got from there to here, but one of Luke's friends from home came here from Mayfield too.
