[ the feed turns on, showing a girl with a really unnerving, and unending, stare. behind her is the pod ship ]

I have to admit, this certainly wasn't how I imagined the party ending. But it does lend itself towards surprising, even if I was almost certain the surprise came before everyone arrived to celebrate.

[ she continues staring, as if lost in her own thoughts ]

I suspect I'm supposed to wander towards the large, glowing dome now. That's how these things usually go.

[Briar appears, and he's staring right back at Luna. This...this is not how normal people usually react. It's not even how all the abnormal people around here react]

A city? That's rather unusual. Is it anything like London?

The city's unusual? There ain't nothing unusual about cities! Everything else around here, sure, but not there being a city.

Never heard of a London though, so I can't say if it's anything like it. [Briar shrugs, then eyes her. It's always hard to tell how people will react to the strange news of this place - which admittedly Briar prefers to leave to other people to explain - but he half wonders if this girl would even blink] This is going to sound odd, I know, but you probably come from a different world that I do.

I think I have to disagree, I've found most cities to be full of the most unusual, wonderful things.

[ she shrugs at that ] Oh, no. People saying that stopped being odd in second year.

Yes, but cities aren't...oh, nevermind.

[And she didn't blink. Why is Briar not surprised? He's half tempted to claim he's the King of Sotat and see if she believes him.]

Right. Well...there's lots of us here, from all sorts of different worlds. The thing you woke up in? Well, supposedly it's a 'flying ship'. Don't ask me how it works, I have no idea. To be honest I don't really understand much at all about that thing, really. But the people in the domes are dangerous, and no one can even get in them anyhow. The city's where we all live, so that's where you want to go.

Going to the dome is dangerous!!
There is a city nearby with lots of people who can help.
Or you can stay by the ship and someone can go find you.

What makes it so dangerous? Aside from the unsettling glow, that is.

There are guards that watch the dome
And if anyone gets too near it they will attack you.
I heard that they can do something to take away abilities
But I'm not 100% sure.

Really? That sounds tremendously exciting. They must kidnap people quite frequently, here.

I don't know if they do.
It would be scary to be kidnapped by them though.

What would usual mean in this context? ...Nevermind. Nein. The dome is a bad decision. Even getting to the city is maybe kind of dangerous.

Oh, you know. The usual context where one wakes up in strange surroundings with no idea how they've gotten there.

Hello, Neville. I was beginning to think that I had gone missing from all of my friends, it's a relief to know someone else is missing, too.

Yes, and waking up was a somewhat unpleasant experience.

It's alright, if you're on the road from the ship you should be easy to
find. It's not too far to the city.
