End of the World [Audio, Day Nine Mid-Afternoon]
Ja. This is Haruka Tenoh. I do not know if this has anything to do with the alarms or the computer going down, but.
[She cuts off there. It's a little hard to say, given Haruka had done her best to look after the old woman since she's come here-- on the rare occasions she could find her. When she speaks again, after a pause, her voice is gruff.]
That obaa-san from the our time. The Oracle. She's dead.
We need to get together. Have a talk. Make a plan to figure out this alarm and fix whatever happened. Meet in the cargo bay where we have the table and supplies set up? At sundown?
((some replies may come from Jake English, as he's all up in this problem too :D ))

[Haruka grits her teeth on the other end.]
It may have been our supplies. They were tampered with, I do not know if you saw it. This may be the result.

[He hasn't been spending much time in the main camp, opting instead to keep to one of the smaller rooms nearer the engineering section.
This is the first time he's even considered regretting that. Still, the anger's only just beginning to filter through the disbelief in his voice.]
[Audio]
[She's already angry. But she had time to get past the surprise by now, herself.]
Are you closer to the surface? Do not let anyone else try any of that food until it has been tested, at least. It will still take me and English-san a while to get out of here.
[Audio]
I'll bring McCoy down.
[Audio]
[And she'll see if one of the others is closer to the surface to check on things for them.]
[Audio]
[It doesn't really need saying, but it's Tony-speak for 'you're actually pretty okay, and I don't want to see you get hurt', so it's said anyways.]
[Audio]
[There's a little bit of regret to that-- usually Michiru watches her back so she doesn't have to, but she's getting used to not having her always there. A little bit.
But for now, she sets about getting her and Jake settled in place to lead the Iron Man and the cranky doctor down.]

[He had been starting to think nothing could kill the Oracle]
[Audio]
[She doesn't know what exactly he's referring to. Then again, the idiom isn't one she really recognizes, either.]
Making what so long?
Re: [Audio]
[He's still getting used to people having different slang]
She's survived so long.
[Audio]
[The irritation is more at herself for not trying harder, than really at him.]
Are you close to the surface? Near the cargo bay where the supplies are?
Re: [Audio]
[He grimaces]
I guess we need to keep an eye in here too.
[Audio]
[No more deaths, okay? She might only be eighteen, but she's still a take-charge sort.]
Re: [Audio]
[The last thing they needed was more people dying]
[Audio]
[Forgetting that he probably doesn't know Japanese, she disconnects there. Oh well. He can guess her meaning, right...?]
