Well this has been barrels of fun, huh? [He can't hide the slightly sheepish look, he's trying really hard to though. Publicly taking the blame for the whole... altered time reality thing isn't something he's really looking to do but he's gotta know how much of this is him and how much is... anyone else.

Just out of curiosity did... anyone [And there's just enough emphasis on it that someone remarkably perceptive might catch the quiet anyone else that is faintly implied by his tone.] do anything in particular that might have caused any of... well... time shenanigans? Not the traveling bit but the arriving part of the deal.

Hey, I know you're probably busy with all the changes but can Oberon hang out with you for a couple days? I guess the lakes are still intact but I've gotta see it for myself.

[ he'll give a soft bird call, then scoop up his kitten once she comes running to him. he holds her up for Atticus to see, letting the light reflect nicely off of her feathers. ]

It... there... she actually has feathers, what the shit? Hey you should come by sometime and let me see her. I'd really like to get a look at... exactly how that functions. It won't hurt her, it's just the same way I see through glamour and stuff.

How do you see through glamours?

[He smiles at Akito, shaking his head in amusement at the kid's defensiveness.]

It's a simple binding that affects me and nothing else, I promise. Come on, I have a binding contract with the planet not to harm any life upon it. [And he taps his tattooed right hand as evidence of that. Akito he's not going to hurt her, he just wants to look at her cellular makeup, calm down.]

[ He hesitates, shaking his head. He doesn't understand bindings enough to be comfortable with letting Aura be examined. ]

I... No. That is... I don't understand bindings, and even if you say that... I have... She is all I have, so... Eventually, maybe.

Bindings are Druidic magic and-

[He sighs, and gives Akito a sad kind of smile.]

No, you're right. I'd not let anyone near Oberon with magic I don't know or understand. [He reaches out a hand to scratch at his hound's ear and somehow he looks sad. Not because Akito won't let him, but because he's had it in his head that these spirits are little more than the children they protect and here is the first proof that they are more than that. They are burdened by the same troubles that longevity has given him.

He offers the other a small, sad smile.]
