Video: Tuesday, Week 37

[Wes has managed to work out where he works now. What the hell, This Timeline Wes?]

So. Is anyone else seriously questioning their new timeline counterpart's judgement?

[He shakes his head]

I could not possibly have had that much to drink.

Hrm... it might have done, had I actually been drunk at the time. Alas, I was up before dawn to check rabbit snares just outside of the Old City when things turned inside-out.

One of legend, it seems. I am sorry to have missed it. Tis been quite some time since I could allow myself to be drunk. Perhaps I should look into that now that I am no longer burdened by continual duty.

Ha! I absolutely could not agree more. Perhaps you would allow me to buy a flagon of ale for you, sometime?

My name is Elissa.

Bond. James Bond.

Good to meet you, Wes - at least in one sense of the word 'meet.' What has you so troubled about this 'new' Verdana? Keep in mind that I spent but one night in the Old City before everything went mad.

Twould indeed be troubling to find things so different. I confess that I do seem to like Poseidon far better than the Old City, but perhaps tis because I spent my formative years in a coastal area. Do you sail?

[That causes the young woman's eyes to light up.]

As in... the sort of star vessel that brought us here? You know how to sail such a thing?

[The Warden is obviously quite impressed, flyboy.]

So... you not only fly above the ground, but you can fly and navigate the stars? You are quite the interesting fellow, Wes Janson.

[That pulls a laugh from the young woman.]

And what is it that you do here? In Verdana?

Fly? As in... a kind of vessel? I am assuming you do not mean flying as Thor does with his hammer. Do you patrol the forests or act as some sort of flying guardsman for the town?

Hovercraft. [Again, her laugh escaped.]

You may as well say something nonsensical for all the good that does me. Is it able to transport goods? Or is it small like a... a skiff? Or a rowboat?

I had a skiff of my own back in Highever. She was named the Grumpy Wyvern - after an old friend of my father.

Your machine sounds as if it might be rather more complicated than sailing, however.

Do you ever get to travel near the western forest? Or tis only in the quarantine zone?

Pfft. Selling anything would not be my first choice for coin. I have great respect for those who do.

If you ever find your way up to the forest between the two cities, watch for a home in the woods?
